    They have booths booked, but no mention of a conference.

    Hmm, Microsoft's conference is right in the middle of when I get my kids ready for bed, read them a story etc. I guess I won't be watching it live then.

    I totally called it.

    Send 'em to bed early. Tell 'em the clocks have gone forward.

    Turn the clocks back a couple of hours and draw the curtains. They'll never realise

    Speaking of which, anyone want to create a drinking game?

    The easiest one would be drink for every time kinect is mentioned.

    I can't get excited about E3 anymore, it jumped the shark years ago when it became all about 'AAA' games and big budget sequels to shooters.

    E3 in the early 2000 seemed almost magical (and I don't think that's just nostalgia talking) but it seems to have lost that trait now. Even more this year without Nintendo although I guess seeing information on the new consoles makes up for it a little.

    As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

    @Aargh.

    I disagree, it used to be more about innovation and fun with fresh ideas (I'm not counting the new Kinect as innovative). Now it just feels souless and 90% of the games shown are things we've seen before a hundred times, only with better graphics and more blood and gray colouring (yawn). I'd say it's partly because of gaming becoming much more mainstream over the last decade that's caused this. Also the fact it was downsized didn't help matters either.

    ...Or maybe I'm just jaded?

    The biggest problem with the last few E3s has been that we've already seen most of the games before the show. E3's at its best when it throws surprises at you.

    New console launches are always the best for things you didn't see coming, although that's not always games, and not always for the better.
