Beautiful day outside, prime for sitting in the sun and gaming the day away. Apart from that all handheld are kind of shitty in direct sunlight, so I'm reduced to reading a book.

Someone needs to make a handheld console designed to cope with this kind of weather!

    Big bad bastard blanket required.
Failing that, get indoors, close curtains. 90s nerd style.

That game was a disaster. Want to take on the dungeon boss? You can't because its the British winter and you're stuck at work during every minute of daylight we have.

I do remember playing a lot of GBA in the sun. Super Mario World I think, and Castlevania.

Never mind I'm reading Lemmy's autobiography now, it's all good. Fire Emblem will have to wait.

I heard an idea for this game that uses a spherical controller that isn't connected to anything, like not even wireless, I'm not even sure that it's electronic! You have two teams and each one tries to get the controller into the other teams base area and it has all these rules that you need to remember, the game doesn't enforce them, although you can get a player to do that.

I know it sounds shit and to be honest it probably is but I guess if you're having trouble playing anything else in the sun you could try it as a last resort.

It's a sad day when I agree with ecosse, but if the sun's shining outside, put down the fucking handheld and go and enjoy it somewhere. Just as general advice.

Also, using the word "game" as a verb like that is also rubbish. This whole thread is just designed to annoy me. It's a personal troll and I think everyone in it should be banned.

Having the handheld that worked properly in the sun would have meant I could enjoy both.

Can't believe people are suggesting I should forsake our hallowed hobby in favour of something active.

As it was I was reduced to going out on the bike with the misses (stealth I have a girlfriend and I get exercise post
