    Great news if true.

But I seriously think Friends is one of those shows which should be left as it is... trying to milk it any further is highly likely to just ruin the fond memories I have for it.

I've only ever seen one episode with Van-Damme in it. Are they all doing so shit that they need to get back together again?

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Should reboot it and have Jack Bauer and Vic Mackey as characters.

Seems odd that there is no kind of credible source in the links though. I doubt NBC would just say "New series, 2014" and leave it at that... they would almost certainly put out some kind of big press release to get everyones attention.

This show has not aged well. Probably neither have the cast.

I disagree about it aging poorly. The first season has (especially the hairstyles and fashion), but everything from thereonin is very watchable still. The main issue is that they've been played so much that even the casual fan knows virtually every episode by heart.

Also kind of interesting that no-one really went on to become a massive star after it, even after some potentially breakout stuff (thinking specifically of Schwimmer's turn in Band of Brothers) and attempts on Hollywood blockbusters (Matt LeBlanc specifically).

Oh please no. The friends format is responsible for the lowering of the bar to unfathomable depths.

Please don't let single expression chandler back on our screens. Please no.

Maybe they will make some funny ones this time

I can believe the cast would be keen, they're all shit actors who can't get a decent role between them now.

Great show in Its time but went downhill and was killed before it completely ruined itself. Can't help but feel a new series would just finish the job.

Easily one of, if not the best written sitcoms ever. To say otherwise is just kind of bent. That said, a new series is a terrible idea.

They're all old now, it'll be like the red dwarf thing - no one will remember how to play their characters.

Didn't it all get kind of shit when they all starting being in love with one another as they ran out of ideas?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

Friends has been going the last few years in the form of the Big Bang theory surely?

    Episodes was shit.

This is going to end well. Obviously they can't get any other jobs and need the money for their nips, tucks and painkillers. If they are going to do a new series, they should wait a few decades till they are all in an old people's home. Could call it Golden Friends.

How will it fit in with the continuity of Joey?

Does it need to? It's not like its LOTR or DrWho lore is it?

    Just forget it ever existed.

Some of Friends I found quite fun and funny. More the earlier ones: the later ones just seemed a bit... ungghhhhh.

    No more, please.

I, for one, enjoyed Friends from start to finish. I actually thought it got better as the series went on.

I'm not against them making another one. If it's shit, we can all just ignore it like we did Joey.
