    Oh and where were the Italians victorious in WW2 again? Best shot they had at success was being gloriously killed by the British in North Africa.
    Rommel said several times that if he had under his command always the soldiers Italian, he would have won the campaign in north africa. While being worse equipped, the Italian army managed several times to create problems the British army better equipped. Just think of the department of Folgore

    My favorite book is The Divine Comedy of Dante.
    Instead, I like the protagonist of the Gospels because I have many affinities with him

    @stefansen:
    Seriously, shut up about WWII...
    Our forces were insignificant and combat wise a disgrace, thankfully...

    One of the darkest times of our history, no need to start spouting shit about the UK becoming a prison as we would never have gotten close anyway...we were Germany's sidekick...

    @LB:
    I know the question wasn't directed at me but FWIW I thought the re-election of our president was a pretty bad thing...And in all probability the government that will now be formed will collapse in a year anyway...
    But hey,at least we have excellent food, right? :)

    The Italians had nice hats. In fact I suspect that was the problem. Too concerned with how they looked.

    Those German uniforms... pwoor. Designed by Hugo Boss no less.

    Got a lot of time for Italy Acidsnake, it's a beautiful place. However I have no time for Stefansen and I'm appalled that your elected officials would cajole an 87 year old to take office again. Your politicians appal me.

    LB, you really are a massive geek.

    They appal me too...and that's the main reason the comedian got so many votes...corrupt to the core right, laughably inept center or the funny man?
    And he does have some good ideals, hope they come through...
    If we were to vote now the center-left coalition would get about half the votes they did last month, berlusconi would stay about where he is and the comedian would be the largest party by far...

    And he's from Genova by the way, so not south at all...But I wholeheartedly agree about not having time for Stefansen...But then again I'm part of the lizard men conspiracy...

    Hitler was a monster created by many different hands, not least the Empires of the colonial period, which propagated the ideas of superior races in the first place.

    Was a vegetarian and detested smoking. In fact the Nazis were the first to link cancer to it.

    So basically a top bloke with a few foibles.

    I liked this bit.

    I didn't know it would be as simple as the old pincer movement. Then again, nor did Hitler, Stalin or many many historians since then.

    Here's a question though: what if Stalin had deployed a turtle? What would Hitler's pincers have done then?

    Terror is the new Rock & Roll. Norway, Woolwich, Boston, it's all about being taken alive now.

    To counter that, Boston Magazine has released pics of their own from when he was caught on the boat.

    The Real Face of Terror
