Whow. Thanks to people here hinting me in the right direction, all the discussion in between and now Eurogamer's articles, I think I've slowly gotten a basic understanding of the current market hardware.
Just two more questions remain before i check in again in june:
If I wanted to go for an AMD processor, which AM3+ card would be best for that? Motherboards are such an overlooked component (at least in the places I check) so I have no clue what's good.
Back in my day, it was AMD vs. Intel in CPUs and ATI vs Nvidia in GPUs. Now that AMD absorbed ATI, I wonder if that has changed anything.
Are Nvidia GPUs just as compatable with AMD as AMD's very own Radeon and Firepro cards, or has AMD done something that buying same-brand garners advantages?
