Tbh I can imagine multiplayer maybe working quite well. Different characters sneaking around the environment, laying traps, suddenly dropping from the rafters to string you up etc. no idea how they would do it like that, but the possibility is there for a really good stealthy multiplayer. Of course it's more than likely it'll be batman running around an arena shooting electrical charges at ten different coloured jokers screaming "I'm batman, bitch!" and then curb stomping them to death.
Yeah Assassins Creed proved that concepts like this are destroyed the second players get involved.
Only if it's players that don't want to play it properly. Get a group together that do and you're golden!

Yeah, Creed multiplayer is guff with rubbish players but when you get a good bunch doing it right it's fantastic fun :)

I don't normally care for CGI trailers but the new full length Batman Origins trailer is exceptional.

I absolutely loved the other two, but I'm cautiously optimistic for this since it isn't Rocksteady. There's an excellent foundation for a new studio though, so you'd like to think they can't make too much of an arse of it.

    Holy Shoehorned Multiplayer Mode Batman!

Splash Damage are in charge of it too, what a disaster that will be.

Whilst I appreciate the fact they've tried to make not being Batman more interesting by having 2 factions fighting that aren't Batman, I can't help but feel that you'll still just be wishing you were Batman. At best, it'll most likely feel like a generic shooter with occasional bouts of being the man you bought the game wanting to be, and at worst it'll be clunky as heck and Batman will be the only reason you'd ever touch it.

Still, as long as it's optional and not harming the single-player, I'll definitely give it a go just to find out :)

That, and the bit in the article mentioning that once a game a player can go to a particular point to be Bane or The Joker just makes me think that will be the perfect opportunity for Batman/Robin players to camp the spot and pick up easy "kills".

Anybody read the interview with lead designer, Eric Holmes on VG247? Interesting points, and I really like the sound of the whole "Year Two" idea. So much love for this game's Universe.

7.49 on XBL marketplace at the moment. With the behemoth that is GTAV almost visible, I'm not certain this would get a look in this side of Christmas. I did enjoy AA though, so would it be rude not to?

Ummm, I assume you're thinking of Arkham City rather than Arkham Origins.

And yes for that price it's a no brainer. Buy it! It's great.

Heh, yeah. Crafty work based forum shufty - reading failure on my part.

Still, question still valid - AC seemed to go down well and I don't think I've seen it that cheap elsewhere. Not GOTY but not that fussed beyond core games generally.

I cannot put into words how excited I am about this. I've stopped playing GTA just so I can play some Riddler's Revenge on Arkham City.

@joelstinton OH. That's very tempting indeed, might have to do the same. Was gonna go to a midnight launch, but nothing will be that cheap. Thanks for the heads up.

Played this twice at the Expo yesterday, enjoyed both playthroughs. I don't like the new voice actor for Batman at the moment, and I'm normally quite an easy man to please. The triggers have kinda been reversed too. Quick gadgets are now on L2, and Detective mode is on L1, and the 'Fire Gadget' is on R2; like the Xbox controls.

Does it have a similar look and feel to the previous games?

@StarchildHypocrethes Oh yes, definitely. Well, from the fifteen minutes I played. The user interface has been updated to fit the more wintery feel of Christmas Eve, and Batman's suit is slightly different but the combat, grapnelling etc are all very similar, in a good way!
