You do know that you can still knock them back even with the shields up?

@Derblington Got it eventually, thanks. What I didn't realise was that the double-jump wasn't the same as another power-up, so I could only get to that ledge after acquiring the double-jump. I must have wasted 45 minutes trying to get that.

Ah, didn't realise you didn't have the double jump at that point sorry.

There are points later in the game where you have to switch world to jump through walls you're clinging to, then switch worlds straight back and double jump to cling onto the other side.

I think this is my favourite 10 quid or less game on the vita. Can't understand difficulty complaints. Just got the jaguar boss, took about 6 or 7 attempts and really enjoyed it. Use plenty of dodge and then it's all about colour codes.

Really appreciate a game that's not face roll easy!

    This is a gem

People, who aren't you, find it occasionally difficult.

This is a video of where I'm up to (post end-game spoiler):

Took me about an hour to get to the bit with the spiked cogs, got the Vita on stanby to go back to it some other time. Fuck me.

Syrette struggling with the simple quoting system there.

Just finished! Great game for 8. The clock said just under 6 hours but I guess that doesn't count the accumulated time from the thousand restarts.

What's your percent complete? I'm at 8.5 hours but at 70%. Haven't started the final temple yet.

I'm at 94% complete at just over 11 hours, I'm hunting around for the parts of the luchador mask at the moment I've only managed to find 4 bits so far.

@Gregolution I didn't check and won't be able to see it now that it's completed, sorry!

I should have known what to expect from the title, but there was probably too much combat towards the end of the game. I definitely preferred the pacing of the first quarter/half where there were villages to explore etc.

I agree with the EG 7/10, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

I honestly didn't think I blitzed through the game, but I obviously did because I never found any!

They are for the most part well hidden within some hidden doorways dotted about the various levels. One involves the skull switch it the forest if you want to have a go at finding them.

Anyone tried this on Cross-play yet?

I definitely plan on giving that a look if it's worth downloading it to PS3.

Enjoying this but it's got some *really* tricky platforming segments. Managed to break the game last night when Juan dropped into a fluid that respawns you instantly on the platform you fell off... Yet for some reason I respawned in mid air above and couldn't reach land. It was like something off Jet Set Willy.

Required a quit to menu and a continue to fix - which is still the one and only time I've exited the game since I started playing. Just defeated Flame Face and collected the Goat Climb ability.

OMG. I just got to the orb at the top of the tule tree. That was the most rewarding platforming experience I've had. I've got more adrenalin flowing through me than a demons souls boss fight.

Quality Quality Quality game. LOVE IT.

Even early on some of the platforming segments are complicated enough to bring a big smile to my face. I really want to finish Sly 4 before SS hits so can't spend as much time with this game as I would like to, yet. What I've played is brilliant though. Again I must say how amazing the art is.

Imagine if Nintendo weren't stuck in the n64 style of graphics upscaled and released a Mario game using this technique or with the UbiArt engine? It would be amazing. Even Yoshi's Island 3DS is really ugly compared to what other developers are doing these days. The first game blew my mind art-wise.

I finally started this last night - loving it so far, although it's certainly got the difficulty set pretty high. Some of the platforming is amazingly tough, but the combat seems to have clicked now :)

Not very far in (only just got the Wall Jump ability), but looking forward to my train journey home

Do you play platformers? That's where I am and its seemed perfect for the early part of a game to me

@aros - I guess I would say that I don't play many old skool 2-D platformers. I've just finished Sly4 and have played though the modern Ratchet & Clank games, but they're not really the same.

This game is quite similar to Outland, but I found that game a lot less fun than I'm finding this :)

DrinkBox are definitely on my favourite developer list

Yes, it's a bit fiddly in that you have to manually upload and download the save to the cloud but otherwise it works exactly as you'd expect.

Have been really loving this game, possibly one of my faves on Vita but I'm feeling a little bit cross with the Jaguar boss at the moment.

I know what I have to do but my fingers and thumbs are just tripping over themselves. Will have a fresh attempt tonight and see if I fare any better.
