Juicing

As in like, juicing fruits and vegetables and all that, not injecting massive amounts of steroids and asking people how much they bench.

Anyway. We just got a juicer, so I'm trying to switch out breakfasts of something fried and/or toasted to a glass of something healthy instead. Anyone have any recipes or somesuch?

Also, cucumber, kale, celery and carrot looks like Satan's own arsewater, but tastes pretty damn good. Could use some mint, though.

A blizeH thread about juicing would consist of "HELP WHERE DO I BUY APPLES".

What did you get, a centrifugal?
  • Deleted user 4 April 2013 17:14:46
I dunno what type it is. You put stuff in the top, liquid comes out the bottom.

Have you tried sausages in the juicer meme?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I'd trust Jack LaLanne more than my own mother. Look at that awesome tracksuit top he's wearing.

I'll put in sausages, beans and a crispy pancake and see what happens. Maybe catch it directly in a flask.

I'd agree with going with blending rather than juicing. Juicing just gets rid of so much actual good stuff it seems a bit pointless. Unless you're doing carrots, or prefer apple or orange juice without the bits.

Also, you get into a head spin trying to get a good juicer and think of spending hundreds of money on masticating juicer so it'll juice stuff much better.

Honestly, blending is a lot better for your health and sanity.

I have a blender, and use it for fruit stuff, but a vegetable smoothie is one of the least appetising things I can think of. With the exception of a nice gazpacho.

I only ever operate my juicer whilst wearing frameless glasses.

I bet they're frameless in an ironic way.

We got a juicer last week but I daren't touch the thing. Apple juice is dull whereas apple and carrot is sweet. How does that work? Looking forward to trying grapes though. Need to buy some Worcester sauce to improve everything really.
