Jedi Outcast is genuinely one of my top five games. Absolutely brilliant.

I also loved turning on god mode and spawning a load of good and bad jedis for a huge ruckus.

It is a shame to see it go but I guess more possibilities have opened up for some new Star Wars games.

I'd love to see Rockstar make a GTA style game where you control a Jedi/Sith/Bounty hunter.

Also, anyone to pick up the Battlefront series.

Disney have said they're concentrating on mobile games I think.

I'm starting to get bad feeling that Disney really is going to pound the ass of Star Wars into hamburger meat before its through. In the words a chewbacca WAAAWWWAAA WAMMAARRR WARRURURUURR WAAAAAA

Well, they cancelled The Clone Wars and a few other things, so you could argue that they are doing the right thing in clearing a lot of the old shite out.

I'm sure they'll just set up another studio for Star Wars games.

Why would they do that? They've already said they're going down the licensing route.

What would be the point in shutting one studio (with an established name) and then opening another?

Someone WILL pick up the Star Wars license and do something with it. Easy cash cow. Of course if it is EA it'll be shit.

Just to clarify - they've released the source code. Not the assets. The game itself is not freeware.

Though it is on Steam for like, a fiver or something.

Heh, I used to do that on a might 1gz Athlon with a GF TI 4200 until it ground to a halt.

Christ knows how many Jedi you could spawn on my current machine (rig)

I'll miss Dark Forces, and all the adventure games. Basically all the games they stopped making years ago, so I won't miss them.

Bump just to mention that if you live near a branch of The Works, they have a pretty lush coffee table book about Lucasarts (this one)on sale for a tenner right now, featuring lots of concept art, design documents and interviews with staff.

Currently playing: Standing In A Car Park Simulator 2013

Ooh, that sounds tempting. I work near one The Works store, and I pretty much cycle past another on the way home. Will see if I can find it.
