Is anybody else watching this? If not, may I suggest giving it a watch on ITV Player. It's sort of The Inbetweeners meets The Flintstones. Juvenile behaviour/main characters meets modern living in ancient Rome. It is actually very funny. Definitely worth watching. First episode is a must to orientate yourself to the setting, characters and pacing. Second episode is gold. If only to see what happens to Danny Dyer.|
Edit: Danny Dyer dies in the episode that he gets featured in. Gruesomely. Hilariously

That immediately put me off watching I'm afraid. The fact it's on ITV 2 didn't help in the first place though to be honest...

Saw the first couple of eps, and immediately stuck it on record. Luckily, Danny Dyer gets his head immediately ripped off, so that's a black mark avoided.
@M83J01P97 Danny Dyer dies in the one and only episode that he is featured in.

That's a shame. I thought the second episode had its moment. The whol joke about the hand had me in stitches. And the second Danny Dyer gladiator fight had such an unexpectedly graphic end, I was in stitches. But I guess it is not for everyone. I say that if you find Phoneshop and The Inbetweeners funny, you should enjoy this.

So it's shit. No surprise. ITV produce nothing of value.
Episode 3 was also excellent. Give it a try people. Give it a try. Worth watching. More than worth watching. I recommend it.

Nice to have a really dumb silly TV series to switch my brain off and watch. episode 3 made me laugh, the "why did you shag a melon" response from the slave made me laugh a hell of a lot.

ITV made Rising Damp and then in recognition of its utter perfection made a solemn vow to leave out all the jokes from any other sitcoms they produced.
Plebs, which is on ITV 2, I quite like.
