    Blade Runner needs a reboot / new version. The one on the Amiga was great for it's time but this could really be done properly now.
    Amiga? Sure you don't mean the PC adventure game? Or the C64 game (which was shit)? :-)

    Zelda definitely needs a full-on reboot. Never going to happen though.

    Pod, LBA, Re-Volt and Powerstone need new versions.

    I take it you mean 2D Mario Games as the 3d ones change quite significantly each generation.
    Mostly, yeah. I think both Rayman and LBP as well as some xbla games like fez have shown Mario's 2D output to be lacking somewhat these days.
    If we are referencing Fez, wasn't Paper Mario an evolution along similar lines? I take your point about the NSMB games all being similar though.

    @Zomoniac re-volt!!

    They all need to be rebooted into first person shooters where you earn XP to upgrade your character with new abilities.

    Or third person shooters where you stab people and are stealthy but then very loud for no real reason and there's some slow-mo and you face 'moral choices', with XP, crafting and an 'open world'.

    I checked with the marketing department and the hamster ball needs to have guns, or at least scythes.

    RESIDENT EVIL needs a retroboot. I've been playing RE2 recently and it holds up staggeringly well. I'm not suggesting they go back to fixed cameras and ink ribbons and the like. Just an atmospehere more in tune with the original and more suspense and less action is all.

    @DUFFMAN5 I never finished it, but did enjoy it. Got a bit lost at one point by way of having no gear that could do any damage, but looking back I probably just didn't put enough effort into the crafting system.

    Retroboots are something I could get behind. I went back to Dead Space recently and it's astonishing how much of Resident Evil's original formula is in there.

    Silent Hill and Res. Evil need retroboots even if they have to be download only titles with smaller team.

    Sadly what you will get is "Publisher: we listened hard to the gamers and what they want and made "Resident evil 7: call of battelfield honor" with 4 MP maps, an season pass and rank up with on disc DLC and micro payments!!

    Also, a game in the style of Grim Fandango.

    I'd like to see a new Speed Freaks. Closest thing there's been to Mario Kart on a Sony console.
