I honestly thought Gatland was too stubborn to make changes - it seems he's developed a ruthless streak though. Phillips was not himself last week - there are strong rumours that hes got a knee injury though.

Its a close call between Youngs and Murray, i suppose Youngs just about deserves it based on being slightly more experienced and a bit quicker in the breakdown.

Chuffed that Bowe is back, a little bit gutted for Cuthbert but he's an excellent option off the bench. I think bringing in Dan "The Hatchet" Lydiate for Croft is a great decision too - hopefully he will concentrate on hacking down Genia for 80 minutes.

Cant wait for this game now.......i think we could be in for a more exciting game than the 1st test.

Really excited. Really cannot call this game. I think the Lions have what it takes to do it but I do think that the Aussies have a good chance as well. Might depend on kickers again to be honest. I think both the changes Gatland made were fair enough. Personally I thought Youngs was excellent in the games he has played but he does need a forward pack dominating and giving him quick ball. If he gets that he can be devastating. Bowe I think is harsh on North but Bowe is good cover for Halfpenny as well and was always going to be first choice if fit.

Edit: Actually Bowe is in for Cuthbert (still harsh but not as much) - not sure how I got that wrong!!

Cuthbert coming on against a tiring defence on 60 minutes could be difference.

    And we're off!

Well, that certainly did not go anyway in resolving a winner! Pretty cagey at times and a fair few mistakes but generally very absorbing rugby. Definitely can't call this one yet...

The mighty Folau getting dumped, great battle between the two. Cracking scrum there after last weeks poor show from those 3 too.

Arse! Last kick was just a bit too far, series decider in Sydney then.

All down to Sydney, in a way it's a good result for the series. No dead rubber test.

In a way, I am disappointed.

On the other hand, my Daddy is in Sydney at present and will be watching the title decider unfold upon a seat in their own stadium.

    ... exciting times!

Trouble is, we didn't really make any real attempt at getting a try whereas the Wallabies did.

Both games the lions haven't threatened a try excluding the two individual moments last week. As a team that is 160 minutes of solid but un threatening rugby.

Can't see a lions victory next week but you never know.

Aussies only threatened one try today, don't see what your point is really unless you mean that test rugby doesn't have many try scoring opportunities at this level.

Warburton out of the decider. Huge loss.

That is indeed a big blow. Everything has swung around now and momentum is definitely with the Aussies. Obviously it isn't done and dusted yet and I hope Gatland can get the team focused because they still have it there to be won and they have a team capable of doing it.

Nah, Tipuric is the better player in my view. Warburton has captained well but the squad isn't short on leaders so its not quite as big a loss as it could have been.

Don't know, Tipuric might be the better player (OK, I'm pretty sure of it) but Warburton is a very good captain and has been very good in the series. I think it is a loss to have that big a change to the squad now. Still, as you say there are other good leaders around so maybe the impact won't be as big. Time will tell I guess!

    BOD for the fairytale end?

Frustrating game on Sat. We never really got going, but it was the right approach. Huuuge game coming up. Will find out later if the Aussies have lost their Skipper too

Wow, far from being skipper, BOD has been left out of the 23. That feels all kinds of wrong. 10 Welsh in the team (who can't seem to beat the Aussies...), Gatland better have got it right or he's in for a big fall. No one will care if we win of course, we're fickle like that!

I think I must have been listening to 5Live for too long this morning. I was beginning to get pissed off with them going on and on and BO'D being dropped.

Mainly annoyed that they spent so long going on about it and didn't seem to talk much about who was actually in, apart from '10 Welshmen'.

Not as nice as I used to be

O'Driscoll hasn't been great the last two test by his standards, not sure if that's down to his decline of form or because the muscle game Gatland is trying to play in the centres just doesn't work with him and Davies. I sort of think its the latter reason to be honest, Roberts and BOD have worked bloody well together in the past but we can't tell how the training is going.

10 Welsh in the line up is a bit much in my view, it's not the Lions any more rather than Wales + special guests. At the same time you can't be chucking token players in there in the name of diversity so it's a tough call.

Aye. Ultimately he has to pick the team he thinks will win and if that had more from one nation than others, so be it. Feels weird though.

Some huge decisions made by Gatland and i hope they pay off. Slightly annoyed by the press going on and on about there being 10 Welsh in the team - how about just saying there are 15 British players in the team?.

Corbisiero and Hibbard are good calls for me, both imply that Gatland is going after the scrum - based on his history with Wales, he always likes to dominate the scrum, so picking Corbs and Hibbard will provide the extra power they need.

There are some concerns about Hibbard at the lineout, but last week Parling seemed to favour front ball, which any hooker worth his salt can complete.

Sean O'Brien and Faletau are both spot on for me. O'Brien has been brilliant so far on this tour and i honestly believe that if Warburton wasnt the captain then O'Brien would have got the nod for the first two tests.
Heaslip has been hit and miss for me - he seems to get 'white line fever' whenever he's anywhere inside the opponents half and his offloading has been non-existent. Faletau will gain yards EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

Phillips had to come back in for me. He was poor in the first test, but you could clearly see he was struggling with the knee injury. If that has cleared up and he's close to 100%, we will see him back to his best. Also, his partnership with Jaime Roberts is a big weapon to have.

Onto the two biggest decisions : O'Driscoll dropped and Alun-Wyn as captain.
I actually agree that B O'D should have been dropped from the team, he really hasnt been at his best, but he should not be dropped from the squad - i think that is very harsh.
I dont think they expect Roberts to finish 80 minutes, so they've gone with Tuilagi on the bench, but if you're winning (or losing) with 10-15 minutes to go, having B O'D off the bench would be a calming or invigorating influence for the younger players. I'm very skeptical about the decision to be honest.

Alun-Wyn as captain is a no-brainer for me. The guy is a powerhouse, he always gives 200% and is a natural-born leader. The only other person you could have given it to was Phillips, but he needs to concentrate on his game at 9, so Alun-Wyn is spot on.

Its a truly massive game, i've actually had butterflies in my stomach all week so fuck knows what state ill be in on Saturday morning. The players need to be perfect for 80 minutes and we'll need some luck, but the series is there for both teams.

A path of glory is laid before them.
