    @Darth_Fibble

    Went to Carvoeiro last year for a wedding, then we went to Albufeira for the evening for a mini stag. Holy shit, got back 3pm & I fucking loved it. You need to be a miserable bastard to not like it.

    Puerto Banus next month for a stag, then Ibiza for another stag in June. I'm gonna need another holiday to get over them.

    @Luckyjim Mauritius is awesome. I went to Flic En Flac, was amazing beaches and the people were great. I love the buses too, everyone hands their money forward one by one!

    Probably go camping for the first time in fuck-knows-how-long so that we can bring the new dog. Mayo, Wexford or West Cork maybe.

    Looking for forward to it. The wife said she needed a really relaxing tropical holiday this year. She wanted to go to the Maldives but I thought I'd be bored stiff there. Mauritius is the compromise. Whilst she's relaxing on a beach I'm going to go off adventuring.

    Think I'll hire a car. I've heard it's an easy place to drive around but the locals are supposed to be lunatics on the road.

    @Luckyjim I totally recommend:

    1. Helicopter trip with Air Mauritius. - Scary but the views are incredible.
    2. There's a submarine trip that goes down a few hundred feet to the floor of the sea, amazing.
    3. The coral are incredible, be sure to see it.

    On the plus side : live in baby sitters.

    On the negative side : in laws are coming too.

    Just done Skiing in Italy a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately finances dictate that that's probably the only one I'll get this year. :(

    The wife is adamant we're doing the helicopter trip. Didn't know about the sub. I'll be sure to check it out.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

    @Luckyjim The helicopter is amazing. The one I did was Air Mauritius and it flew right round most of the island.
  • Deleted user 19 March 2013 23:53:17
    Cool. What was the sub company you used?

    @Luckyjim I was at Hilton and they had companies there who did booking. You may be able to book direct with AM.

    @RobTheBuilder we're going to be at the Lux Belle Mare on the other side of the island. I'm sure we can arrange something through the hotel though.
