Looking at the Sim City review it occurred to me that what would be nice is a brief profile of the reviewer. An range for example is useful. Having played games since The Hobbit on ZX Spectrum I am old as shit obviously. A reviewer who meets my age/interest profile would be more likely to give a review that I can relate to.

There are loads of games, loads of reviews but scores don't cut it; if I am hungover, will I enjoy a particular game? Or what if I am on a laptop while travelling? Is it a game that needs many hours of playtime which I may not have, etc., .

Is this talking nonsense or does it make sense? More real world reference points would be useful IMO.

I agree. I for one would like to know if they've ever killed a man with their bare hands, made sweet love to a dolphin or watched an episode of Hamish Macbeth

Have you ever been in a cockpit before?
Have you ever seen a grown man naked?

Quite the opposite it seems, if you have a look at the history of his previous articles it seems, if you take any stock in that of course.

Actually he's an adult who's really into board games. And is a good journalist to boot, with copy far exceeding anything a "snot nosed kid" would write. Bet you jumped straight to the score and didn't even bother to look at his reasonings.

For the record liking COD doesn't make you a kid, either. Makes me cringe seeing the way people look down on anyone who plays games from that franchise.

    Well said,  kid.

Think I'll just switch everything off.

@BillMurray @Syrette I was being sarcastic guys, I exaggerated the feeling I got from the OP.
I play COD too for the record.

As in the piloting area of an aircraft or a literal pit of cocks?

I don't trust reviewers who eat porridge for breakfast.

    Only dinner.

Good idea as long as the profiles contain a full length nude photograph of the reviewer.

A map is like comparing velocity and speed.
