Its NPD time. Okay maybe a day late, for that I apologise.

    February 2013

    Hardware:

    For sure numbers:
    Xbox 360: 302K (-29.1%)
    Nintendo Ecosystem (DS/3DS/Wii/Wii U combined): 455K

    Calculated numbers:

    Software:

    1. Dead Space 3 (360, PS3, PC) Electronic Arts - 605K
    2. Call of Duty: Black Ops II (360, PS3, Wii U PC) Activision Blizzard
    3. Crysis 3 (360, PS3, PC) Electronic Arts - 260K
    4. NBA 2K13 (360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, PSP, PC) Take-Two Interactive
    5. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PS3, 360) Konami
    6. Aliens: Colonial Marines 2013 (360, PS3, PC) Sega
    7. Just Dance 4 (Wii, 360, PS3, Wii U) Ubisoft
    8. Far Cry 3 (360, PS3, PC) Ubisoft
    9. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3, PSV) Sony
    10. Madden NFL 13 (360, PS3, Wii, PSV, Wii U) Electronic Arts

XX. Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS Retail): 117K
Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS Digital): 63K
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon LTD (DS): 250K

    ---------

    PS3 ~ 250,000
    Wii U ~65,000

Another decent month for Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo need games and a price drop.

I think the biggest surprise there is how badly Colonial Marines did. It made the top ten, but it didn't sell nearly as well as I thought it would based on the amount of chatter surrounding it.

Edit: Wait, was this its second month? In which case /o\.

I'll be surprised if EA publishes another Crysis with those numbers!

Yeah and the other surprise is Sly making the charts and selling at least 117,000.

Woah didnt know the WiiU is $349.99 in the US, at least 150 dollars too much. They need to drop the price and release Mario Kart before the next gen consoles hit the market

I don't think dropping the price now will help much. A temporary boost, but if the game catalogue is still as anemic as it is then that boost isn't going to last long and they'll just end up taking a huge hit on every console they sell.

Well, I suppose it depends on how 2 sold, which I can't find.

260k doesn't seem particularly good for the launch month of a high-profile release, though.

Its hard to imagine a game that was less in demand other than the new killzone game.

After Crysis 2, it would have take a tens across the board epic to make me pick it up again and a mediocre map pack hasnt really changed my mind.

I was a big fan of Crysis 2, but that terrible glitch that caused the screen to look fuzzy was allowed to go on far too long.

Have they even fixed it yet?

Nintendo needs to do some serious work on making Wii U worth having. There's little draw to the system right now, and it's been quite a gap since a new first party game. Seeing as the whole reason have Nintendo consoles is their games, the utter lack of them's baffling.

Looks like Crysis on the PC's not really represented at all, then. That's significant.
