I do alright on eBay, but it depends what you're selling really. I do records mostly so its either eBay and / or discogs. I probably get more success with run of the mill stuff with discogs, but rare stuff does well on eBay as it simply attracts more people.

It's always a good idea to check loads of sites first to see what the community is like beforehand - reduces the chances of experiencing mass tards

Yeah I got that feeling from that place, as in I had a couple of ppl instantly private message me about all the valuable Saturn games, mainly panzer dragoon saga. Fucking tools - gonna stay well clear of them if possible. I guess I can link them to the ebay auctions and let the highest bidder win.

All this time researching this has impacted seriously on my Dark Souls habit..... Might be a good thing that. It was getting stupid.

@the-stax eBay is probably a safe bet, aslong as you know roughly what you should be getting money wise, then set your reserve accordingly. When the auction ends you will still get endless messages off people trying to get you to not sell it, so for example if you sell something for 200 in auction you will then get snipers who will message you saying I will give you 240 if you don't sell it, it's very naughty in my book

    I think I hate you all ;)
I still wish the Dreamcast had stuck with the orange colour scheme here.

I've got SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2 & Gamecube stuff scattered all over the place, I have a plan to put a cinema room in part of the house and underneath the screen have all my consoles connected. One day...

As an aside, does anyone know if Saturn gun games would work with a projector?

They won't work with rear projection TV's. Not sure why. Would imagine it's similar.
There's some info dotted around about CRT projectors and Saturn games (scroll down to the bottom of the link) but that thread is mostly about LCD TV's. Might be of some use to you though.

Looks like Mumtoucher is getting quite a bit listed on eBay.

If you're still around MT, it might be worth 'fleshing out' the titles of a few of those listings. Cram in as much info as possible to bring in more interest.

    caligari +1

Emphasise 'unopened' more, you have NO IDEA what kind of difference it makes (if those Saturn and MD games are unopened of course).

If your Gunstar Heroes and SoR3 are unopened... I'm excited for you.

    Got some good bids already.

Reckon that panzor will shoot up soon

Definitely +1 on the "Unopened" stuff! Plaster it all over the place!

I had a rare record not getting any bids for ages until I revised the listing to say "Rare" in multiple places. Then it went like a shot.

The more unique/stress the 'newness' you can make your listing the more it'll go for.

Though saying that, I lost a ton of cash opportunities last night on some records :'(

Yeah totally, definitely add BNIB for any brand new in box items. You'll pick up bidders just searching on that acronym.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

Holy Shit! is that price for real?!?

I've actually got a brand new DC ultimate pack, the sleeve is worn and the box has slight wear, but the contents are all new... but if I could get anywhere near what that's at right now, i'm selling it!

Mumtoucher - looks like you've leared your lesson in your later listings but also be sure to better use your titles.

shinobi x all lower case isn't going to attract much attention.

"**EXTREMELY RARE** Boxed, Mint Condition, PAL Shinobi X for SEGA Saturn" on the other hand...

@mumtoucher You can still edit auction titles, up until the last 24 hours I think.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.
