This is such good news! The sequel to two of my favourite games ever is coming. Ragnar Tørnquist and the core team behind Dreamfall is back (and they seem to have left FunCom to set up a new independent studio).|
The kickstarter seems to be going quite well, they are well above one million dollars (the goal was $850,000).
So who else is pledging and/or feeling excitement over this?

I'm in, hopefully they've learnt the lessons from Dreamfall, so no abysmal combat/stealth and a few non-trivial puzzles.

The Longest Journey is my favourite game ever. But the days when I had a PC good enough to play, well, anything really, are long gone. I very doubt the possibility of a console port as well
Still, I'm really not sure how this will pan out. As has been said, Dreamfall had some pretty big flaws (at least gameplay wise) but I'm sure the storyline will continue to engross.
The kickstarter is over and the the final amount came to $1,538,425.
Quite impressive. Let's hope they can deliver on their promises...
It will be a long wait until November 2014.
@imamazed They did a live stream of an entire playthrough of Dreamfall. They regularly poked fun at some of the gameplay elements they went with and talked about what they had planned for chapters. They're sticking to the 3D world of Dreamfall, however the gameplay is going back to its adventure games roots. No combat, no stealth sections.
