Apparently Eidos Montreal trademarked this recenty as RPS (among others) reports: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/02/27/oh-my-god-jc-a-trademark-deus-ex-human-defiance/#more-143686

Indeed, it could be a new game or something else entirely; Eidos predictably declined to comment on "rumours and speculation". I for one would be very happy, DXHR was a good game both in terms of story and actual gameplay (still have to do that non-Praxis playthrough of The Missing Link).

I really hope that this is a new game but isn't it more likely to be the film? I'll keep telling myself that's what it is to not get my hopes up anyway.

A Deus Ex looking like Watch_Dogs does on PS4 would be amazing!

How would they fit a new Deus Ex into the storyline?

Maybe by pretending Invisible War never happened?

FWIW, it wasn't a horrible game, certainly had a few interesting ideas like the Omar. It just wasn't in the same league as the original.

    : )

I kind of hope this is on the PC as well as the next new PlayStation and Xbox ... doesn't anyone else hope so too?

I don't know, the only problem I found with IW was the adjustments made so it could fit on console. That and the fact you could get a second chance with every faction no matter what you did to them.

    @CharlieStCloud

    I don't see why it wouldn't be.

One thing is certain: the inventory system in IW was dreadful.

Apparently human defiance is the movie.

Sequel will be called Deus Ex: Mechanical Apartheid

Hope they don't waste time on a shite movie and make a sequel to the excellent Human Revolution.

Human Revolution was fantastic, though the excessive loading almost ruined it for me (Xbox version). I wanted to do a second playthrough but couldn't stand the loading.

    Shacknews say it's the film.

Aww, would have preferred a new game. Still, a movie is good!

There's a new game too. Probably on next gen consoles, maybe we'll see it at E3.

Even better! They could probably still have one with Jensen. There's still a bit of a time gap between HR and the original.

You should do. It is rather good. Just make sure you don't go full stealth as otherwise when you reach bosses you are screwed.

Well, you can go full stealth. Just have lethal gun and a few grenades in reserve. Or invest a couple of points in Typhoon.

Full Typhoon, a stun gun and electric resistance are pretty much all you need for a full stealth walkthrough, even on peaceful/hard. Plus a laser for the final challenge.

Oops, this domain registration suggests Human Defiance is related to the upcoming film rather than a new game: http://whois.domaintools.com/deusex-humandefiance.com

And the universal ammo. You mean I have ran out of ammo for ALL my weapons simultaneously? Really?

@pauleyc I'm not sure if I could have forgiven you for bringing this news if your avatar wasn't from the Crusader games.
    Man, I miss pre-UO origin :(

Straight from the front page, slightly more relevant (though not to this thread) - Squenix registers Deus Ex: The Fall domain. This time it's probably a game.

@SirScratchalot: Heh, it's nice to see the Tin Man's still appreciated. :-)
