    Apart from looking nice, there's nothing that seemed to separate it from anything today.

    Probably the last thing to innovate into shooters is real-time destruction and deformation we keep seeing in tech demos that never appear in games.

    If they re-released Black Ops 1 with fully dynamic destruction and fully deformable terrain for full price I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

    Has that even shown its face this gen? The only games I really recall having any decent level of real-time destruction were the original Red Faction and Black, and they were both last gen.

    Deformation and destruction always sound great, but mess up the balance of maps as everything gets demolished. Better AI would be great though.

    Balance is the reason we won't get a Timesplitters. Not saying I don't want balance but there's only so much you can do to refine the same formula again and again. Better AI would only affect SP campaign.

    Having (one of the few) buildings cave in on people was one of the best things on BF3. I'm sure they could iron out the imbalances over time.

    Maybe not that amount of unique items on screen, no. But the core game? Easily. There's workarounds for the object issues, I bet.

    They didn't show anything like enough of Knack to judge. Killzone's the only thing they showed enough of to even make an educated guess.

    When I say Dead Rising moment I mean a game that offers mechanics or gameplay previously unachievable. The zombie swarms in DR contributed much to what made the game what it was. Going by the Wii version it really couldn't have been done on previous tech.

    Killzone 4 looks great but the gameplay could be achieved pretty much exactly on current hardware.
    Honestly, how many games this gen would really have been unachievable on last gen tech? It must be a tiny number; Dead Rising I'll give you, Assassin's Creed probably wouldn't have worked last gen, you've got some games like LittleBigPlanet which probably wouldn't have been possible in their existing form due to their online elements, but most games this gen have just been supremely polished and refined iterations on ideas and gameplay introduced last gen. Even AI and physics have not moved on notably since Halo: CE and Half Life 2 respectively.

    Some nice new footage on IGN, reminds me of Crysis in parts and the OWL is a nice gadget. Looking forward to this, just hope the MP is fun.. The 8/10 clan games on KZ2 are of legend ;)

    Some of the new in-game footage (below) from IGN that IronGiant was mentioning in the post above.

    Some quick snippets of info from the video:
    -KZ:SF is set 30 years after KZ3 and takes place in a 'cold war' style scenario.
    -The OWL drone that the player has access to is controlled with the new DS4 touchpad and so far appears to be able to attack enemies, set up a shield or launch a zip-line style rope to access lower areas from higher up.

    This is my most anticipated title of the year. Looks incredible. But i've never played any Killzone before.

    Only three classes, but it seems to make up for it with a load of weapons and game mode customization. Does it seem richer or thinner than 2 or 3?

    although of course you end up becoming yourself

    I really enjoyed the couch co-op on Killzone 3, though I'm guessing it's too much to hope that's included in this one.

    ^ Has it been mentioned at all? And what are the chances of them releasing a full match, even if it's just 5-10 minutes long? Did they do that with previous multiplayer reveals?

    One thing I liked about Bungie's pre-release Reach vids.

    Thanks for that video! I wasn't sure if I should really get this game but felt as though I should just to have the main first party launch title, that video makes me think I'll really like the game anyway!
