What's the DLC then?
I played this again recently, was nice to tool about again.

I haven't played in a while either. I haven't even finished the campaign.
Dragon's Dogma: DA and now Bioshock Infinite have kind of taken over my gaming time just now.
I'd better fire it up soon to see what changes have happened!

Just tried the free weekend...2 hours to download then various hoops just to get it to run then the patch update doesn't work. Well that was an easy choice...no sale.
Just dipped into the PVP again briefly. Some of the design decisions that got through really make you wonder how the people responsible fooled someone into hiring them.
Well I managed to do the free weekend eventually. It's really a single player experience with occasional dips into multiplayer. Quite compulsive actually - did question why I was playing as it really is quite repetitive. Won't buy full price but may get it if it gets cheaper.
UK price is £17.49, or a tenner more for Deluxe, should you facy an extra title, inventory space and some other bits and bobs.

2 months on and I'm still playing this every night! Yup I'm addicted, nearly level 2000 and loads and loads still to do. I don't give a monkeys about buying any other game at the mo!
Plague Sieges have gone live and they are awesome imho. Give it a try!
What's that then a new variant of the arkfalls?
Finally got done with Bioshock Infinite, so should be back on this and Dragon's Dogma this weekend with a bit of luck.
Although I should fire this up sooner, as I'm sure I will need to spend a lot of time updating patches etc!
Ooo shall check them out tonight!
Right now I can't get the option to remove mods. I can go to the remove mods list, but it only gives the option to lose all mods, not recover them.
Anyone else having an issue with that?
I want my mods off my maxed AR to put on the next one I want to use dagnammit.
Edit:never mind. Logged out and back on and it's sorted itself out.

Currently £10, or £9 with this code GMG10-VTTCS-VYH18
Is it worth a go at that price?

i havent been on it for long, but id say definitely....really rather enjoying it
Wavey, at that price, it's a steal. It's not the most polished game, but it's quite fun and there's *loads* to do.

Anyone got any tips for dispatching the Volge? they seem to kick my ass rather a lot.
I just did what they did in the show and rallied some townspeople to fight them, then couldn't do the rest of the plan so ran away like a hero. I didn't have an Arkcore to detonate, after all.
Though in all seriousness I did accidentally lead them into Iron Demon Ranch where others were forced to defend themselves, though it was so far from where they spawn that no-one got mission XP for it. So most people just ignore the Volge entirely! They aren't exactly well-balanced. I get that they're supposed to be some nigh-on unstoppable force, but they're a bit too bullet spongy just now.

Have they improved the chat/communication system on this yet?
The new patch/DLC seems to be ready for PC people. Looks like a big one too. No idea what the nature of the fixes included are, but the patch notes can be found on this forum thread. Includes:
* Castithan race (including the ability to re-choose your race if you want)
* New Raptor vehicle
* Charge Weapons and Charge Blades
* Volge Sieges
* Dark Matter Arkfalls
* Improved chat window (no idea what improved means)
And other stuff.
Dived onto this again, for the first time in a while. Seems to be having a lot of technical issues, post-dlc, and it took more than an hour of patching and installing, and then three attempts to sign in.
New events and a race I haven't seen before brought me straight back into it. Opened a tier four lock box to find my first orange weapon, and one of the new charge blades, which is rather nifty (and I hear this might have been a fluke, they're not easy to come by). Tried my first couple of sieges and picked up a new alien rifle.
Good to be back.
Should dip back in myself!

Picked this up for £3 today on Xbox. I'm assuming no one plays it anymore
I actually reinstalled it only the other day, for some fun.
It's improved somewhat, and I had quite a bit of fun doing some more missions and co-op etc.
New DLC out soon too, apparently.
This is a bit of a joke. I put the disc in the 360 (first time playing) well over an hour ago and the fucker is still downloading patch notes!
Oh well, maybe I will get a go tonight!
Yeah many patches. They seem to still be plugging away with it, it's good fun when with friends and just tooling about
Yep, I'm still on fairly regularly. Picked up the latest dlc... but it feels like a bit of a piss take. Everything is unavailable unless you pull off hours of grinding - and that's for a random loot drop which may contain bugger all. Lots of unhappy people.
Glad they're still supporting this. It's janky, but a lot of fun when you get into it. Given up on pvp, given the amount of bugs - but love passing time in the world. Must give the tv series a go at some point.
I also play regularly (PC), still enjoying the core shooting gameplay and, as jack says, it's a fun world to run about in and just do random missions.
The DLC is shockingly bad value though. Of the 3 so far, 2 just add loot to the loot tables and special vendors, and 1 adds a single string of a few missions. That's not DLC, that's mostly just what you should do for free to keep people playing.
Edit: I do apologise, just found another mission string from DLC.

Played some beginner missions tonight, the same few I played on the demo a year or so ago ?
Really enjoyed it, not overly sure what I should be doing or navigating the mass of menus.
Played one 8v8...I came last of course
Any tips chaps, in the main game, does one just roam and do missions, do I have to fight fellow players or do we all fight the npcs.
Thank you for any tips
