Faced the final boss in story mode.No I am not ready for that sucker.[Stand still would you!].
So it would seem trading between players is the only way to get the synergy stuff you want so I'm putting this out there.
Looking for a brutal shotgun if anyone can help.

I'll be on around 9 on xbox if anyone feels like helping a poor newbie arkhunter.
Velim esset mundus iustus futuis procul et mori.
I might possibly be around then, if I'm not playing gears, but i warn you that i might try some PvP stuff to get the echelon daily contract thing like the scabby minor achievement whore I sometimes am...
I still have loads of coop missions to do, and it was great to join some other fine EG folks earlier this week so I'm sure some more will be done soon.

I really want to try this game but I have the WORST net connection ever and I know I just won't get the full benefit of the game

It's a decent game but with lots of problems. Whilst I've enjoyed it and the combat is fairly satisfying I think it's already starting to run its course for me.
I thought the pvp was terrible unfortunately. This means that once you've done the story there's very little to do except for grind stats with, at the moment, no goals in sight.
It just shows its very difficult to do an MMO without some sort of endgame.

See, it's the endgame that I think throws people off the idea of it being an MMO, because as far as endgame goes it doesn't really do one - it expects you to play it the same way people play COD, with you repeating the same maps (be it the co-op or PvP ones) just for the fun of doing it. I'm okay with that, but people expecting things like proper raids will definitely be disappointed.

It's a strange beast: it's clearly launched with less content than they have planned, but you can keep going for the level cap even after exhausting all the current content, which is a bit peculiar.
Man, the PvP in this (on 360 certainly) is a chronic bore. 90% seem to have cloak and shotguns only. It's pretty dull overall.
Shadow war seems a bit better, but there's still loads of shotty/cloak or snipey/cloak folk there too.
I also seemed to not finish a lot of the PvP games (deathmatch only)for some reason as it seem to lose connection towards the end.
I assume this was server issues, unless it is run on someone's machine since it is only 6v6 or 8v8 for that and that host kept switching off in a huff at getting beaten.
Shadow wars with it's 64 v 64 must be on there servers and I never dropped out of a game of that at all.
I think I will progress episode 2 and the Act 3 this week and not do much multiplayer. Unless the contracts look ok to increase my rep with Echelon.
PvP needs work. Shadow Wars is better as there's less shot-gunning.
I'v been constantly playing Defiance for 3 weeks and it's the only game I'v played this long without getting bored. I want those special weapons, I want that cool outfit, I want that black car, I want to be the badass. And it's so much fun.
What time do contracts refresh?
8pm, I believe - dailies, that is.
I'v been doing quite a few contracts and buying the special synergy mods. And also farming and maxing out each main weapon then selling or recycling it, buying the same to build up the skill stats. Bloody long process but has to be done.
I like the fact that the gun levelling does give you a reason to try out different guns, but I do find it a shame that you kind of miss out on the extra effects levelled guns get. Would prefer it if they reset at that point and you could level them up once more.
Also got the black car yesterday the 1080 degree spin was a pain to get.

Any tips for defeating Foreman Vexx? As soon as I get rid of the drones, more spawn.

Well I tried and tried to like it, just could not get into it, gave it a good shot... then I noticed Game were doing £26 trade in, that was the final straw..
Goodbye Defiance, we were like one of those relationships where it should work but for some reason you can not fathom it just does not click...
Level 500 now and picked up my first reasonably worth keeping shield in ages. Hurrah!
I need to progress the campaign some more, to act 3, but still get distracted all too easily by stuff I bump into on the way.
The co-op mission are at least still fun with randoms too.
I'm 8 away from level 1000! :-o I'v gone and bought another 10 inventory slots, that's 72 now. I'm holding off completing the last couple of main msns and farming and leveling loads.
Finally had some decent gear drop from a Tier 3 lock box. Is it really worth the extra wait/cost for a Tier 4? Seems like a lot of expense for only a "chance" of decent gear.
Need to unlock more otufits too, although not sure how. Still in the same outfit I started in (the miner outfit is shite) and I'm past level 500 now.
And what exactly do you get for the upgrade package on the 360. Seems very expensive and a little unclear what's included. Especially since the Season Pass for dlc is separate.

Hmm. I am still tempted to use my free 500bits with my game order to buy more inventory space. I don't think there's anything else worth buying with it yet is there? You don't seem to be awash with extra space as you rank up so much. I 'only' have 40-odd slots at level 500.
My loot whore tendencies are causing problems. Even if having to destroy stuff helps me add more mod slots.
While trying to get the 100 PvP kills last night for the weekly echelon contract, I decided I'd had enough with the cloaking shotgun sporting folk. Went to my armada rocket launcher guy and when they shot me the 3x rocket blasts usually kill them (&sometimes myself).
I got one particular guy a lot with that two games on the trot. I don't think he was too happy with me. I am a bad man.
I wish more people would spec differently than either large clip grenade launcher or cloak and shotty. T'is a smidge boring. Still 49 kills to try to get tonight. Shadow wars sadly seemed to always need a long queue as I prefer that.
Do you unlock capture and hold later on? I see a pursuit involves that, but it's not in my mp options yet.
They took out the C/H map, Freight Yard (16 vs 16) for some reason. I guess it'll be put back in when... fixed?
I've tried a few pvp's with my 400 odd blur shotty dude and frankly I'm mostly getting creamed.
Just picked up an armada rocket launcher mind so may look at opening up a few explosive perks and giving that a whirl.
Lot of invisible shotgun/grenade launcher douchebags out there in PVP. Really enjoyed the few co-op maps I've played with randoms so far; the loot is far better too.
Still getting nothing but shite from lockboxes. May have to hump three tier and wait for four.
