He hasn't got a leg to stand on.

if you have nothing intresting to say then you might as well just throw your bags on the truck and drive away

    :(

Great actor. Even when he was playing an annoying character, like in Ever Decreasing Circles, there was something likeable about him.

    Yup.

Bet he made a lovely granddad.

Give yourself ½ gig or a £, you're worth it.

Sad news, of all the things I've seen him in over the years the first thing that came to mind on hearing about his death was remembering him firing an Uzi while using a Zimmer frame.

Hah I actually made that mistake earlier. Colleague came into the office and told me, I thought he said Pryor. "But he's been dead for years!"

Way back in 2004 or 2005 I and a workmate had three people across visiting us from the Japanese arm of the company. We took them out for a curry, and Richard Briers was at the next table. They had no idea who he was.

    Sad to see him go.

    No I didn't.
    Sadly.

RIP Mr Briers - I've heard a few tales of him doing visits to fetes and old people's homes and the like, and he'd regularly eschew his scheduled '30 minute appearance' and stay for hours.
Sounds like he was an absolutely top chap.

I always though Tom and Barbara had the perfect marriage, what I would like to aim for. No mention of him being Bob the Builder's Dad too, another great role.
