Great actor. Even when he was playing an annoying character, like in Ever Decreasing Circles, there was something likeable about him. -

A sad loss

Registered 11 years agoSad news, of all the things I've seen him in over the years the first thing that came to mind on hearing about his death was remembering him firing an Uzi while using a Zimmer frame. This space left intentionally blank.

Hah I actually made that mistake earlier. Colleague came into the office and told me, I thought he said Pryor. "But he's been dead for years!"

Registered 9 years agoWay back in 2004 or 2005 I and a workmate had three people across visiting us from the Japanese arm of the company. We took them out for a curry, and Richard Briers was at the next table. They had no idea who he was.
Sad to see him go. -

Sadly.
RIP Mr Briers - I've heard a few tales of him doing visits to fetes and old people's homes and the like, and he'd regularly eschew his scheduled '30 minute appearance' and stay for hours.
Sounds like he was an absolutely top chap. -
