    I loved Superfrog!

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

One of my wife's favourites many years ago on Amiga, I wonder if it will still hold up today.

The thing I remember most about the likes of Superfrog and Zool was how much they wanted to both be Sonic and Mario (at the same time). They just weren't though. Looking back the game looks so cheap compared to the offering from those series.

Well the Amiga didn't have Mario. Or Sonic :)

True, we made do with what we had.

Remember Street Fighter 2 on Amiga? Swapping discs for character selection and it having different mechanics to actual Street Fighter 2?

    Good old days!

Yup, both were poor. I preferred Robocod, but it lacked structure and purpose.

Never had a console in those days, so Superfrog was the closest thing to a Sonic that we had. Another game the mrs loved was Bubba and Stix, I doubt anyone else remembers it.

    Bubble and Squeak
    Ruff N Tumble
    Fire and Ice

There were some really good platformers on the Amiga. I would count Superfrog amongst them as well as it wasn't really a clone of Sonic or Mario, it certainly did have some "inspired by" elements, but it did its own thing too.

The Addams Family game was a pretty good Amiga platformer.

I used to play that, superfrog and zool and wish I had a megadrive for sonic or a snes for mario :(

Saying that, Bubba and Stix, Fire and Ice and Fury of the Furries (before I knew what a furry was) were good.

I loved this game. My all time Amiga platformer has to be Leander though. The music was exceptional.

Yes for Assassin as well. That was superb. Those damn doggies!

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

I remember believing and telling people at the time how great the likes of Superfrog and Zool were to compete with console owning chums, but deep down I knew they were both shite.

Now THAT'S a game that I'd love to see updated. I think. Possibly. Or not.

I remember really liking this game, but being a bit annoyed I couldn't mimic more of the enemies.

Yo! Joe! Was brilliant. Gremlin brought out Harlequin which I loved but god it was hard. Don't think I ever even got 50% through it.
