Registered 2 years agoWhilst I found AC3 to be a bloated mess, I did think traversing the wilderness was one of the highlights of this generation of gaming.
A Moscow/Siberia setting wouldn't surprise me. -

Registered 9 years ago@Raiko101 If it's out this year it will be a side story subtitled episode like Brotherhood or Revelations. The proper 4 won't be out till next year.GT: robthehermit

Registered 3 years agoEmphasis seems to be squarely placed on expanding the sea battles as that was the stand out feature of the last game that everyone seemed to buy in to, so I'd probably have to say 'Yarrr! 'tis Pirates and Booty!'
At least the advantage would be that the colonial trading posts and towns in the West Indies were not massive (although lacked verticality) so at least there should be some good looking and diverse gameplay in there. -

Registered 8 years agoThis year's iteration won't be ACIV, I reckon. They've said it'll have a new hero and setting, but I think what that means is they'll probably set it in Washington with some new all-American hero. They're not taking it back to Europe after ACIII has been far and away the most successful instalment. -

I'm all over this if it has loads of navy battles. Never paid money to play 1,2 or 3 but I found the sea battles far more fun than the hold rt to run across a city watching your character do everything.

Disappointing if true, yet another cheap yearly update.
I'd kind of got this idea in my head that the next one would be revealed as all new and next-gen only and that they'd been "working on it for the last three years" or something.
I never actually picked up AC3 in the end. If this is just 'more of the same' again then... meh. -

I hope so. I long for an Assassin's Creed game that is just historical, no sci-fi bollocks, you play a character who is really part of that world.

Maybe/hopefully they'll let Watch Dogs be their modern day open world game and AC can be a bit more colourful and inventive, cherry-picking great locations from history. I quite like the idea of the Caribbean, so I can maybe try out Sid Meier's Pirates! for real.Triggerhappytel wrote:

Next up, I'd like it to go back to Europe. Late Victorian London would be interesting, as would Revolution era France. -

It's isn't really though, is it? It doesn't matter what time period it's in, it's still a sequel really. Though to be fair I've not played AC3 yet so maybe Desmond dies and it really is a prequel in both the future and past.
Ugh. Prequel.
If thats genuine, im out.Kirby is the man! Even if he wasn't, he'd just ingest and become one.
