That's a tough one... There are many bands out there - I'm gonna go with my gut and say gastric band.

Used to be Eels. Spent my teens listening to all the usual guitar bands people liked, but when I first heard Electro-shock Blues it opened my musical mind. Remains my favourite album, but the last few albums have been pretty bland and uninspired.
