For fuck's sake. I'm ready to take a lunch break but oh, "let's have a quick gander at the EG forum front page".
Oh random musings ... always good for a laugh.
A page of weird nonsensical posts thanks to some spammer being swiftly deleted, followed by an exploding whale.
    I watched the whale clip.
I closed down the youtube tab.
I'm ready to go eat lunch.
    I'm quite hungry.
I keep hearing this *WHOMP* sound now, with associated image of whale guts spewing forth.

    *sigh*

It was OK, too much chorizo, not enough prawn. The chorizo just over-powered everything else. I mean I like the stuff but it was a bit much.

I like the original version better, it has more drama

Chorizo overpowering is common, I made a stew and thought it would be a good idea to add chorizo.

    It was not.

    Needs to be emplyed sparingly.

I just noticed - his hook-thing went flying. He seemed to know something would happen though. He stood well away from the point at which he was cutting.

It reminds me of being in theatre when the gastro surgeon I was training under asked a hapless junior student to do a close check to see if he could see anything coming out of the patient's anus, just as he undid their twisted colon. Only with more flying blubber and black ichor.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

    !

    I guess that's a gastro-surgeon's in-joke. Or in-then-out-joke.

Yep, it was a speciality of this guy, I saw him try it again on that rotation but the word had got around and they dodged the shitstream that time. Just part of the "good-natured" banter bullying that makes a strong surgeon out of a milksop medical student, apparently.

The first set of Zords in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are the Dinozords, which are based on prehistoric creatures and consist of the Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Tyrannosaurus.[1][2] These five combine to form the Megazord. Later on, the Green Ranger's Dragonzord and Titanus the Carrierzord are added to the set. The Dragonzord can combine with the Mastodon, Triceratops, and Sabertooth Tiger Zords to become Dragonzord in Battle Mode, and can also combine with the Megazord to become the Mega Dragonzord. The Mega Dragonzord, in turn, can combine with Titanus to form the Ultrazord.

The second set of Zords are the Thunderzords, introduced in season 2, which are based on mythical beasts and consist of the Red Dragon, Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird.[2] The Red Dragon can transform into a humanoid Warrior Mode, which can then combine with the other four Thunderzords to become the Thunder Megazord. Later, the White Ranger's Tigerzord joins the set, able to transform into a Warrior Mode as well, which can combine with the Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird Thunderzords to become the Mega Tigerzord. The final member of the set is Tor the Shuttlezord, which can combine with the Red Dragon in Warrior Mode to enter its own Battle Mode, or combine with the full set of six Thunderzords to become the Thunder Ultrazord.

The third set of Zords are the Ninjazords, introduced in season 3, which are based on various ninja-related animals and consist of the Ape, Frog, Wolf, Bear, Crane, and the Falconzord.[2] The Ape, Frog, Wolf, Bear, and Crane can combine to form the Ninja Megazord, which in turn can combine with the Falconzord to become the Ninja Mega Falconzord. Also introduced in season 3 are the Shogunzords, humanoid robots based on various ninja-related animals and are simply named after the colors of the Rangers (the Pink Ranger shared her Zord with the White Ranger).[2] They can combine to become the Shogun Megazord, which in turn can combine with the Falconzord to become the Shogun Mega Falconzord.

The Ninjazords and Shogunzords can combine with Titanus to form the Ninja Ultrazord and Shogun Ultrazord respectively.
I can feel my mind melting.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

I love sushi. I always scoff far more than I can handle. I go a bit mad with the wasabi as well, which never ends well. Especially considering I've got IBS - it plays havoc with the digestive system. But I just can't resist...

Sort of related, I tried one of my experimental home grown chillies (have been crossing a bunch of varieties) and it gave me severe stomach cramps. As a general rule you don't tend to feel your intestines or even notice that they're there... but I could completely feel the muscles around them cramping up inside of me. Fucking horrible, I'm letting someone else try my goddamn chillies.

I'm not sure really hot chillies are a good idea. My friend's aunt used to grow incendiary chillies and eat them with every meal. She got stomach cancer in her 40s. Might not be connected, but hard to discount.

I have an interview for work experience at a special school in two hours. Quite nervous. Definitely need to ace it though for a good reference.

    Get bent.
