That Indie film made me hate indie games even more.

Waaah waaaah the job I choose to do and get paid well for is so hard and I can't hold down my relationships. Waaaah waaaaah xBox said they would put me on the front page and it's been an hour and there's nothing waaaah waaah.

Haha, Phil Fish has a reputation of being a bit of a cock. I like him.

    I totally called it.

See I heard people talking about being a dick but I thought he was okay in it. He was obviously a bit of a cocky cunt, and when they introduced him and he was clearly in love with himself I wanted to punch him. But when it came to the one to one he just seemed like an extremely passionate dude that was struggling to get his vision across in the game. The film gave me a massive appreciation of what these guys do. I honestly thought these indie dev games (Meat Boy, Fez, Braid) were small teams of 20. Not two fucking guys. Couldn't believe that when I saw it and blows my mind at the work and dedication involved.

This north Korean propaganda that's appeared on YouTube, anyone under the impression that the US are behind it to keep reinforcing the idea of them being a crazy bunch?

Does the average north Korean really dream of bombing and nuking the united states and even if they did, why post a video onto YouTube when few if any people from there own country would have access to it in the first place.

When they follow up news of nuclear tests with threatening to annihilate you neighbour at a UN disarmament conference of all places, then yeah, I believe they are a bit worrying.

Is there anything like this HDMI conversion kit around that is actually for sale anywhere.

Basically I bought a cheap T.V that only has a HDMI port and an old Xbox that doesn't have that slot. So basically I'm looking for a conversion kit like that one in the link, only they don't seem to be sold anywhere anymore. Not even Ebay.

Any help would be much appreciated.

So I'm going to have to cancel my Spanish lessons due to work commitments (being in court in the arse end of Scotland every Thursday to be precise). Trying to decide whether it is worth pursuing it on my own or switching to French or Chinese like I originally planned.

As much as I hate to recommend it, if you want to continue on your own, grab a copy of Rosetta Stone off Pirate Bay. I use it to augment my studies, and it actually works really really well for the basics (especially memorising words).

Oh I might just do that. I'm hoping that if I keep going with it I will be able to take the next stage class later in the year.

You may have to bite the bullet and trade the old Xbox for a new one. I had to a couple of years back and it didn't cost that much, 20-30 I think.

Rather than buy one specifically for the XBOX, just get a general one that you can plug the XBOX into?

You'd need a conversion box that uses a standard type (i.e. not xbox proprietary), I expect that'd be component and a good one of those would probably be more expensive than trading xboxes.

    Ah :(. Ok.

I can get hold of an older TV so I'll probably just do that, at least for now. Won't be able to get that for another 3 weeks so in the meantime..

How easy is it to connect wireless X360 controllers to a laptop and then use it to play games? Will it work with pre-360 PC games?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm pretty shit at this stuff and google always sends me on wild goose chase with too much tech speak and dodgy looking websites.

You need a wireless dongle to connect wireless 360 controllers to a PC/Laptop.

You can either buy a cheap Chinese knock off version from ebay or buy a XBOX 360 PC wireless pad with it included. Sees extremely difficult to just buy an official dongle.

    Dong.

Should be built into the motherboard. As in it's not, but someone should invent it.

Not too bad. Thought they'd be a bit cheaper.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_sabc?url=search-alias%3Daps&pageMinusResults=1&suo=1361479854047#/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=component+to+hdmi+converter&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acomponent+to+hdmi+converter

I couldn't say what trading would cost, though.
