There. I bet you're glad you asked.
What WHO does in 2038? You've opened up the rabbit hole now, and, err, we need to follow the breadcrumbs to the err blue pill.

And the Death Star's exhaust port is probably the first one ever to not feature at least some grilles to prevent flies, debris, or proton torpedoes going in

And he's, you know, using the Force.

Anyway, R2 is doing all the difficult bits.

I have eaten so much meat tonight that I can't get to sleep even though I am really tired. Make of that what you will.

The whole point is that Luke is strong in the force.

Now, not sure how much about this the generals know or believe, but they decide to give him a ship. Looking at things they are pretty low on pilots too. Some right pie-munchers in amongst them. Couldn't see them surviving the forces exerted on them.

Hey, you leave Red Squadron alone. Jek "Piggy" Porkins might well have eaten all.the pies, but he was highly skilled at low level strafing. And Wedge Antilles was a god.

I guess the plus side of chucking him into the cockpit is that he makes an almighty dent when coming into contact with the surface of the Death Star. Should have given him a B-Wing for more damage.

If only the A-Wing had been invented they could have just sent him into that like a big fat kinetic wedge.

I discovered something today that had been irking me for a while, the question was, "why, on the train, does it always smell of toast between Vauxhall and Waterloo" the answer apparently is that the roasting of coffee smells of toast and there is both a Costa and a Nero by the station. A long wondered fact is answered by the internet. Well done internet.
