I hate to be smug*, but I am fucking good at my job. Just had to finish off another job for a colleague. He has had this machine on and off his bench for over a month, couldn't suss it. Ordered two new ignition coils, spark plugs, been on to manufacturers tech and everything (apart from asking me). Anyway, he has been off for a couple of weeks and the customer is screaming for his machine back so I broke with protocol a few days ago and had a quick look. Ordered a new throttle cable and fitted it today. Also had to rewire the original coil as it was earthed at the wrong point and hey Presto, all sorted. Starts, runs and stops all as it should do. I am the mac daddy.
*this is a lie, I actually quite like being smug.

Also, today and yesterday, my farts have been really smelly. Even I have had to leave the room a couple of times.

Normally, savour the flavour. Even more so in the bath. But these were seriously deniable guffs. I didn't want to be associated with them.  Off to the gym now so better take it easy on the rowing machines or they may end up shutting Bexleyheath down due to a suspected toxic attack.

Anyone remember the forumite a few years who used to comment "so you're saying the Xbox is better" on absolutely everything, or was that something I imagined?

The first Harry Potter book came out 13 years ago. That means that the kids that grew up reading it are now adults. o_O I feel so old. :(

Experts are unsure about what caused the increase in suicides to be so disproportionately steep among Native Americans and white people, during a period which spanned the recession.
    Really, they're unsure? Good experts.

He he, I grew up reading them. Give or take a few years near the beginning I was more or less the same age as Harry as the books came out.

And yet that makes me feel bloody old too.

@Vortex808 Yep, released in 1994. Blue Lines has been twenty years old for two years now. Horrid.

Siamese dream must be 20 years old as well then. That was 93' I think.
Being 17-18 in 93, there's lots of "20th anni" coming up that will indeed make me feel like a bit of an old fart.

I remember having a copy from a children's publisher, who wanted our thoughts as peeps in the industry were going 'next big thing!'. I read it and thought it was fun, and then forgot about it.

    6 months later, KABOOM!

Yeah, I was cool even aged 10.

I saw them in Wolverhampton when they toured that album and in my mind I still consider it to be quite a recent gig.

Yeh, but who's gonna fess up?

I've certainly considered it; long old detour to the toilet etc. But always felt too weird, never actually gone through it.

That almost sounds like you have.

I don't think work is really the best place to knock one out for many reasons but a main one has to be becuase of the work toilets. It would kill the mood for some bloke to choose the cubicle next to you and fight out a shit.

I was talking to a lady a while ago in a beer garden though and she said that at least two blokes have admitted to her they have.
I'm pretty sure it happens more than you'd think, there are some nasty sorts about.
