There's an interesting theory that it's a covert attempt to privatise the school system. Seems a bit too involved for the UK government to pull off, but at the same time it sort of makes sense.

That's an idea worthy of Gove himself.
More strikes and childcare issues ahoy.

It's absurd that ministers don't require qualifications and experience in tHe field of the department they are head of. They have to in Germany. It is why we get musical bloody chairs with inept, corrupt officials playing games with our lives.

That paragraph was more a general rant on ministers. You are right that this particular move is ideological, tho that is born out of ignorance and ineptness.

The o level debacle was incredible. He did zero consultion and the same is happening again. He really is a cunt. If it were the private sector, he'd be out on his arse. Ironic, given what the Tories shout about.

So, I can't be arsed to read the whole steaming pile of speculation and misdirection. Did anyone new, strange and shifty turn up to swap conspiracy theories about the Boston Marathon bombings & aftermath? I love it when that happens.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Just the usual. "It's a false flag attack by Obama to turn us into a communist state" etc etc. Along with "Chechnens? Let's nuke Czechoslovakia!" stuff.

Tyrells alternative spicy nuts are pretty much the foulest thing I have ever had in my mouth.

The above is a food related statement.

Yeah, he should have been more careful, those radars are heavy.

Because not everybody is fit to teach or be in control of children. There is an art/skill to teaching, especially kids.

Remove the holidays and watch the number of teachers drop. It's a thankless job as it is, with excessive hours and relatively low pay for what they do. The holidays kind of make up for it. Michael Grove is a slimy, self serving toad. He consults with nobody when formulating these moronic ideas. Wtf does he know about education? Nothing. Zero experience.
The references to Asian education are particularly ridiculous given the fact that average Asian schools are generally so inefficient that students end up working their arses off in additional classes.

Having worked in both the reality is that the reason Asians end up being more successful is that the kids value education far more than English kids.

The constant scapegoating of teachers and schools in the press really doesn't help with this.

Phew. What a morning. Having some renovations done in the house, so we all an unnaturally early start to the day. Then a central heating pipe got cut by accident by the joiner while he was cutting a hatch in the floor.

Muchos stress in the house there!

Now we have no heating for a few days, but have hopefully avoided any water damage.

Found a mouse nest under the floor too with some fresh ish looking poo round it. Looks like I will have to set up some traps in the loft. I hope they were only lodging for winter.

First clear weekend of the year for making changes and mess, I guess.

I had a great idea about using the old path slabs to make our patio bigger. It will look great when it's done, but I had forgotten how much faff it is, getting it all level and bedded in properly.

Non-smoker requires dump within next 8 hours before long coach journey. Will a can of prunes now be effective?

    Did the prunes work mate?

If a whole can didn't work then surgery may be required.

Help me EG, you're my only hope.

Thinking of an artist from either the 60s or 70s, mixed race, think he had a gap-tooth and had a bit of an afro.

The only video I can think of for his band include the band in front of a busy street for the entirety of the video.

Had Mick 'Mankind' Foley in the office today.
Had no idea who he was until after he left, actually was thinking he was one of the hairy bikers...gutted I didn't realise who he was at the time though, would of loved to at least shake Mr Socko :)

He did look like a broken man walking out of the studios though (in a physical sense, kind of how i'd imagine Abou Diaby to walk).
