Country is an interesting word because the word cunt is the first syllabul. It's very pronounced too so you clearly hear the word cunt when someone uses the word country. Imagine trying to mine that during a game of charades - "cunt" and "tree".

    The word vacant is similar.

Stephen Fry on I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue defined "countryside" as "killing Piers Morgan".

This is true. The irony being that were you to utter the first syllable of their rank to them, they'd be likely to arrest you for a Section 5 Pubic Order offence.

Twat and Cunt. You can get so much emotion out when you say them

+1 to Toonster as I also love the word flange.

Bing tickled my fancy for quite a while... Something that is bing is shite for those who haven't spent much time around the Fens.

Much better than the literal translation 'sandwich table', though they are great too.

    I like 'gubbins'

I like piratey words. Like swashbuckle or scrimshaw. In fact almost any word a pirate may ever have used. Avast ye landlubbers, go swashbuckle me scrimshaw or ye'll be walkin the plank. Sounds mint doesn't it

I quite like "jowls", I feel it's quality puts me in mind of what it means, I almost puff my cheeks out, pantomime-like when saying it.

Realising I liked it for almost being onomatopoeic sent me on a search for the actual definition of this and I found an interesting thread about this elsewhere
