    Hey all!

I am a backer on the Wildman Action RPG/RTS project.

The project has gotten some bad press. So I would like to clarify what has happened over the past few weeks with the following
    http://wild-man.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

The above is a community wiki. In it contains every thing that we know about the project and gas powered games. I would highly encourage you to check it out if you have any doubts about GPG.

    Give it a look at.

For those who do not want to click the link here is the TL;DR.

    1. Gas Powered Games is Currently seeking capital to fund development of wild man. This will allow them to stand on their own 2 feet. Instead of a publisher stringing them along with checks.

    2. If kick starter for wild man fails GPG (Gas powered games) will close however if it succeeds they will stay open simple as that.

    3. These funds will support the development of wild man. The Core team is currently 13 People strong! They have their own engine (The siege engine) which was used for Dungeon Siege. They are currently putting a new OpenGL renderer in to support Mac OSX and Linux. Not just windows.

    4. There are daily livestreams from GPG @ http://www.twitch.tv/gaspoweredgames/new they start at 5PM PST and go to 7PM PST

While our friend here has made an effort, it doesn't say anything about the game. A bit more info on the game -

    The Plot:

You start out in the Stone age (from 200,000 years back - Dinosaurs, and other creatures live and battle alongside Man in the Wildman universe) and progress through the eras, looting Technology, Items & Weapons from defeated tribes/camps, kingdoms, etc and shape your own path (and your character) throughout history.
Wildman Trailer from the Kickstarter page:

    http://youtu.be/uBBDO82ZWXQ

    Merits & why its Innovative:

I'm yet to see such deep character progression that has been this open-ended, since character progression in most games controlled by a limited tech tree. Wildman on the other hand isn't constrained by a tech tree. Each persons' build - Tech, Weapons and Items are unique and no two players might have the same stats.

    Concept-Art:

^ This concept-art has gameplay scenarios and attacks near the bottom (check the hi-res version) - The Bear Slam & T-Rex Tail smash!

    ^ Shows Polymorphs & Items.

    Entire High-Resolution Concept-Art album here: http://imgur.com/gallery/wpQQh/

The RTS part of it, "Warzones" is supposed to seamlessly integrate into the game play (Exploration, Dungeon crawling, etc) (below)

Nevertheless, It's got Dinosaurs, Sabretooths, Polymorphs, Mounts & Wildwomen!

    Project Mercury & Mod-Tools:

They also demoed their Cloud-based Modding Tool & Web platform, "Project Mercury" which can manipulate 3D in-game objects, contribute to level design, custom maps, etc. (see below) which seems really interesting, cause we don't need to download the tools and get frustrated while setting them up before you even start to work with the tools. This IMO could democratize Modding a fair bit!

    Talent behind the game:

Chris Taylor, Game designer responsible for Total Annihilation, Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander, etc.
Jeremy Soule, composer for Total Annihilation, Dungeon Siege, Supreme Commander, Skyrim, Morrowind, Oblivion, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, Dawn of War.
Stu Rose, Artist from Blizzard who worked on WarCraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and World of WarCraft. He also designed the Blizzard logo!

If still interested - Pledge, Share the word and Help them in shipping this game! :D
