Selling iPhones, iPads and iPad minis by the tens of millions.

Gross National product of Belgium, in cash, in the bank.

Recipe for disaster, that. Share price still near $400.

There is a huge fucking assumption here that Apple are totally incapable of innovating in the future.

Edit: I've got an old IPad 2 and I'm very tempted by this iPad with the extra storage, retina display etc. I may just upgrade.
It's not an assumption, it's a question. Where is the innovation now? Everyone else copied the iOS icon layout and functionality, everyone copied the core ideas of both the iPhone and iPad. What evidence is that Apple are able to lead any innovation or have we already reached the point of boring iterations of tech?

And approaching 50% of the share price of less than 1 year ago despite the rest of the market doing pretty well. Certainly investors are losing confidence.

Thread title is what I imagine people/aargh use as a chat up line for Dirtbox.

Yeah, I'm totally defending them. Couldn't give a fuck either way. No reason to care if they disappear as long as another takes there place with the same product standards and we aren't left with fucking Microsoft.

    Pissy pants.

You never give a fuck but you always show a very clear opinion of what you think about Apple in your own passive aggressive way.

About the same time as Microsoft and Google I'd imagine.

Passive aggressive? Bitch please, I commented on the thread title as it looked like the first line of an open love letter to db and I found that funny. I don'treally have an opinion on the topic because I don't know ow how they stand now. I assume they are still making mega bucks and don't see them dying anytime soon even if the competition is fighting back. YouTube and eg front page comments will be a lot less entertaining without them though.

It's a shame you feel the need to post in a thread to state you have no opinion. I feel sorry for you that you have no more in your life that the time could not be better spent.

Feel free to grow as a person and develop an opinion anytime.

Since when? Only business wankers had blackberrys. Besides, they're not even in the same league.
  • Deleted user 29 January 2013 23:08:51
    I think that's the point.

What do you mean since when? The company was valued at 80bn and is now 8bn and sales have collapsed. That, in the business world, is the same ballpark.

RIM didn't only make phones either. What a silly conversation this is turning into.

And msc sales don't make Apple much money. I think you've missed the point crispy.

Companies that are huge can fail, no matter who they are.

I suppose so, thanks for the info. What makes you think it's going anywhere close to that though?

I don't want them to die but I would like to see them lose their position by some way. Ridiculously overpriced and controlling.
Oh and they sue for everything, oh so you can't have an unlock on your phone that slides?? Next console battle if apple had one could be getting the PlayStation 4 blocked as it has a similar turn on button. Oh no.

Lack of innovation, confused strategy, increasing competition. Already said.

I think Apple believe that their customers don't look elsewhere to see how far behind they're lagging.

And they're right up to a point.

Samsung are doing pretty well at the moment, maybe Apple could try taking a look at their stuff for some tips.

Yup, I'm surprised I still have to explain to people what Android is. A friend of mine just thought that you could only get ipads... fucking idiot.
