    That's because you're a filthy pervert.

A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men.

Nah. You'd miss out on the sheer number of visual jokes.

This thread is really kind of just "movies that you're familiar enough with to have on without watching them". I doubt there's a single movie in existence that you could watch and understand for the first time without the image.

Maybe we should ask some blind people?

Yeah, Mr. White's escape, the cop torture scene and the final Mexican standoff make a lot of sense without visuals.

local: They specifically have extra audio tracks for BLIND people so they can follow along the action. Most DVDs have them. They even do them for live theatre performances now.

    I can't help thinking that's a waste of everyone's time.

The point is that the vast majority of films are highly visual in their narrative. Imagine reading a book that's entirely dialogue and description of sound effects. They say that creating an audio-drama out of a story is one of the hardest challenges a script-writer can have, because he usually cannot rely on narration or any sort of visual cues. Even something as shittily simple as a sitcom has trouble. Compare the Dad's Army radio shows with the TV shows they mimic and see what's changed. Something as basic as a character walking into a room has to be specifically announced through dialogue, which doesn't happen in films outside of Harry Potter.

Wait does typing words on your phone correctly make you clever and using auto correction wrong make you dumb?

Does taking time to reply to such errors make you out to be a cunt?

    Yes..

I guess I will look out for such challenging questions as "is it your or you're" in the next iq test I take tomorrow.

Most TV programmes have it these days, Eastenders etc. have had it for quite a while. "Grant cuts the slag" and so on.
