No more image porn on Google?

    What the hell?

    There is no longer a filter on google images, ie "Restricted / Moderate / No Filter"

    Instead there is "Safesearch" which means no more naughty images can be found.

    A bit of googling says that this has been the case in the US for a while, but they have just done a global rollout.

    What a bizarre, stupid decision.

    You have to opt in. The default is moderate, you have to turn restrictions off. Its been like this for ages. Presumably you cleared your cookies or something recently.

    Here's how to disable SafeSearch:

    Visit the Google Preferences page.
    In the "SafeSearch Filtering" section, uncheck Filter explicit results.
    Click Save Preferences.

    How do you turn them off?

    I can only find one setting. A tick box that says "filter content." I cannot find anything that says "No filtering."

    Done that. All searches are still filtered. And google tells me that that is how it is and live with it. If you want porn you need to type in "Sasha Grey porn" and such. So you have to be specific.

    According to that link you have to get specific. So rather than searching for 'sasha grey' you may have to search for 'sasha grey taking it up the ass from three guys with ten inch cocks'.

    Tried the same and I'm only getting work safe images, both in Chrome and IE. Turning the filtering off as they suggest doesn't seem to do anything at all.

    Guess I'll use Bing from now on.

    Searched 'Jenna Haze' on google/chrome/safesearch off and it's all PG-13 images.

    Searched 'Jenna Haze xxx' with the same settings, and it's back to normal case of a poor lady who seems to have lost her underwear somewhere.
