Very happy overall, plenty of other stuff I'd rather see than Brown but he's entertaining enough.

No games for me as usual since i was about 15.

I got too many socks for some reason from various relatives. Too many = any. I have not got socks before, is this an age thing? I got 1x 5 pairs and 1x7 pair packs FFS!

    Some cash
A shirt- Which I like. Clothing being a minefield I try to avoid buying for anyone else!

I also got a long sleeved top for winter running, wiggins' autobiog, peanut m&m's and a voucher for an online ale vendor. The wife knows my simple tastes very well. :)

Our son got what can only be described as a metric fuckton of stuff. Much of that due to the wife going overboard yet again despite my yearly protestations.

What's wrong with socks? Always need socks. Hate buying socks. Would rather do something better with my time. Being given socks equals more time equals more of my life back.

Give socks this Christmas. Save a life.

Bit of cash, Amazon voucher, sweets, socks, smelly stuff, heat-changing Pacman mug, food parcel including a few beers and a bottle of red wine. Spot on really. Back home now to feed the cat and watch Dredd. Christmas \o/ :)

    A cashmere winter hat.
A letter rack (actually to be used for iPad, Kindle & iPhone beside bed)
Some fancy glasses for mulled wine.
    A T-shirt.
    A jigsaw.
A coffee cup which looks like a Canon camera lens.
    A gadget for warming wine.

A shitload of food cooked by my wife.

Two utterly overexcited children (8 and 5)

No games - the wife knows she's safer letting me buy them for myself.

I always give a list of what I want to the OH. That way I'm guaranteed to get what I want, but because the list is so long I never actually know what I'm getting.

And everyone else either gives me red wine or cookbooks, which I both love, so always get pretty good presents.

I mostly hate christmas time because the hustle and bustle and annoying twinkly lights and irritating music, but I generally really enjoy the actual day.

I have a couple of those. One is called a saucepan and the other is called a microwave. They're great things, with lots of applications outside of wine warming :D

For a moment I thought you'd got a High-resolution monitor to mount on your handlebars!

Come on captain dry rub, don't mock someone's Christmas gift - especially when you admit to warming wine in a microwave(?) in the process.

I wasn't mocking it, just some gentle humour :-)

To be honest I'm actually quite intrigued by it. I guess it's mainly used for keeping red wine at a temperature that makes it drinkable and for mulled wine?

Also: Captain Dry Rub :D I'm making that my signature from now on.

If there's one thing I hate, it's people who store red wine in a fridge.

I've been known to warm wine in the microwave on occasion.

The gadget is a microwaveable sleeve thing - it's actually pretty clever.

And yes, it's for warming red wine to drinkable temperature. (You can also put it in the freezer and use it to chill white)

That actually sounds like something I would use an awful lot. I want one.
