    Hey there

    Thinking about buying a new tv but want one that will be compatible/take advantage of the next xbox to be released in about a year. Should I wait a bit? Do I need 3D? LED or Plasma? Size? 1080p?

    Cheers

    What an odd question to ask. How would any of us know something that there had been precisely no news on?

    Get bent.

    @Jim-Bob

    Break the bank and get a 4k TV just in case.

    LED fo sho. Personally I wouldn't bother with 3d yet. It'll be much cheaper when the next gen arrive.

    Yeah, might as well wait until you have a next gen console, by which time the TV you could buy today will be cheaper.

    3D tv's are fairly cheap these days anyway. A 42" 3D can be had for around 400 notes. Yes, it's a bit gimmicky, but done right 3d can be really effective. I've been running through some of the games in my collection, and some of them upscale to 3d really well. Skyrim looks especially lovely.
