what is sycom1?

    I installed a WiFi analyser app the other day and found that two networks shared the same channel as mine.

    One called a regular first name and one called sycom1. The latter only showed up every now and then and was rather weak at that.

    I changed my channel and had a look on my app again. The one called sycom1 had changed as well.

    Weird... Is it some router thing? Some feature to do something. Have I been hijacked or is it THEM?

    sycom1 is a notorious hacking group who target unsecure wireless networks and use your bandwidth to host paedophile playgrounds. You should disconnect your internet for not less than 6 months and eventually they'll get bored and go away.

    My internet has slowed to a crawl after searching that.

    I've unplugged my router and will only use 3g until this is solved.
