That's a pretty big screen for one with no screen. -

Despite being obviously superior to a normal remote and being really easy to use, they're also really easy to misuse and hard to understand for people who aren't technical at all.

My girlfriend is getting better at it buit at first she didn't have a clue.
Also if one of the devices doesn't get switched on and the help button doesn't auto corrrect it, she'll never figure it out. They really can be confusing in fairness though (when you don't really understand what they do) -

Registered 9 years agoJust set up my new Logitech 300. Seems to work well.
Its handy pressing the watch tv button to turn on the tv, amp, sky box. I wish I could program some more buttons to that level. Guess thats what the more expensive models are for. -

Can anyone recommend a universal remote which will work with the PS3? I've got somewhere around 6 different remotes now and it's starting to piss me off. This post is sponsored by Apple and the iPhone 4S. Think different.

Registered 5 years agoI have a Harmony and use it with my PS3 with HDMI control, not the bluetooth adapter. Essentially, when in PS3 mode, the Harmony controls the TV and the TV controls the PS3. Works with most modern TVs I think - mine is pretty old. My Panasonic calls HDMI control Viera Link, which is confusing. Needs a bit of tinkering with the settings and has some limitations - e.g. only switches the PS3 off if it's on the XMB and not in an app or game.
You could get this and use the bluetooth adapter with a Harmony or another better remote. This is what I might do to overcome the HDMI control limitations. Presumably I'll have to get the Harmony to learn the All in One's commands.PSN & XBL - crispyduckman

Registered 7 years agoMaybe I'll just keep my PS3 remote and buy a universal for everything else. I assume these Harmony things are good then? This post is sponsored by Apple and the iPhone 4S. Think different.

Registered 7 years agoI only generally tend to use a handful of functions. Volume, change HDMI, arrows, ok. I think that's pretty much it.
Oh, and play / stop on the PS3.This post is sponsored by Apple and the iPhone 4S. Think different.

Registered 5 years ago@Psychotext Or you could pick up the All in One for £17.79 at the mo and then splash out on a Harmony later if you feel you need the LCD screen etc.PSN & XBL - crispyduckman
