    A Motorola V60 which was an utter turd. First of all you had to cope with Motorola's horrendous menu design of that time, combine that with the slowest processor on the planet, and the cheapest hardware design ever. The hinge broke just after the warranty was up, but luckily I was able to use it in part-exchange for a SE P900 which was a brilliant phone for the time.

    Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

    That was a brilliant phone.

    Ericsson R320 (first mass market WAP phone) was mine. I did work for Ericsson at the time though.

    @mcmonkeyplc Phillips C 12 AKA BTcellnet U phone

    This phone held the running balance of its airtime credit on the phone, rather then on the network. With a soldering iron and some instructions, you could hack it to get unlimited free phone calls and texts.

    No kidding. I got one of these back in 2000. Free if I signed up for a Barclaycard. Problem being is it only accepted payment from the Barclaycard, and one day it took payment from my top up twice, but only gave me the one payment of 10. BT Cellnet told me to do one, so I had the duplicate payment cancelled by Barclaycard. BT Cellnet then blacklisted the card and I was left with a paperweight.

    It was a pretty shit phone though all in all.

    @President_Weasel Oh shit the Nokia 5110! My longest serving mobile phone! :D I got one in 1998 and it's still working to this day. :) It's got rainbow pattern buttons, a silver face plate, blue fading to green backlights and a pair of alien eye pixal art instead of the operator logo.

    IT'S AWESOME

    I had a jungle camouflage faceplate for mine which I thought was ironic, but I just looked like a twat.

    Loved mine. I had a cool blue lighting case with a flip down front.

    It probably wasn't that cool on reflection.

    Who remembers the old Locust Cellular Services? It used to give you email to your Orange phone via SMS back in 96-2000. A long time before the operators were offering it. It was also the time that select knowledgable people were using Foreign SMS centres to ping SMS to other networks, and without any fees being seen on a bill.

    They were the days. :D

    My very first mobile phone ... had it for six happy years, all the way through high school and Sixth Form!

    It was (and still is) amazingly indestructible too.

    HOW THE FLYING FUCK DOES IMAGES WORK ON THIS SHITTY PLACE?!
