The Sky at Night and Gamesmaster were the staple of many a geek like myself when we were growing up.

Just saw this as well. Sad news but not entirely unexpected.

@kickerconspiracy - while it's disappointing to hear some of the crap he came out with in those interviews, at least he's had a positive influence on some people as well (not saying that excuses having such an outdated outlook on the world). My 8 year-old self wouldn't have been half as interested in astronomy if the Sky at Night hadn't existed and I only watched that to begin with because it was Gamesmaster.

Holy shit I never realised he was also the Gamesmaster dude.

    Mind blown today.

Is this also the end of the monocle? He was the only living monocle-wearer I have ever seen.

Thats the kind of mad disguise skills that superman would be proud of.

Note to self: for next weeks bank robbery, wear a metal skullcap.

Suppose at least he will still be in The Sky at Night.

Tbh, I never really cared enough to think about it. Watched GM when I was like 10. Never though about it until right now!

You'll shit yourself (on a chair) when you realise Dexter Fletcher was Soap in Lock Stock. Who'd have thunk it?!

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

He was very old and had some old-crazy-people views, but he was a pretty big deal. He was the Gamesmaster!

No, Dave "Games Animal" Perry is a massive bell-end. He's clearly going for the shortcut, fails miserably and throws a tantrum. TV gold!

Is mowgli a citizen of Metropolis?

A map is like comparing velocity and speed.

I'm not as old as you fucks and I can't say I thought about it much enough at the time. No doubt if I had seen a clip in the past ten years it would have clicked straight away!

    :(

Do you have to think about who you are yourself?
