Hi guys, if you had to choose between using a great domain name but on any TLD other than .com, or put a hyphen in the name to use .com, what would you guys prefer?

I'd find a better .com domain

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

What's the target audience? What are you doing with it? If it's for SEO reasons, google isnt impressed by exact match domains any more eg old-ladies-tits.com (sorry, not a site Mrpon).

I saw my son's name .co.uk is on the market, thinking about bidding - how cool/embarrassing would that be?

Neither. Because obviously somebody already has one of them. So

1 people will accidentally go to the other one

2 search engines are more likely to find the established one, and not yours
