    Easily Looper for me.

    I've also enjoyed
    Cabin in the Woods
    Chronicle

It's been a weak year for me on the film front. really really liked Looper though.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

I tend to only get round to watching films a year or two after they're released. Can I get back to you in a couple of years?

Thanks for expressing interest in my signature!

Not sure about "Best" film, but the one I've enjoyed the most was Cabin in the Woods, hands down.

@Chopsen I was about to stick Drive on my list but I looked it up on IMDb and saw that it's a 2011 film.
    So...

I would probably go with Skyfall too followed closely by cabin in the wood and dredd.

    Western films...

Dredd 3D. Maybe. I had a lot of fun watching this film, even though (objectively) it's a rubbish film. Res Evil comes in a close second. I think both are a bit of a guilty pleasure.

    Eastern...

War of the Arrows was a pile of fun. The Raid was, obviously, like watching the most violent cartoon ever so that was great.

But I think my film of the year is going to have to be Welcome To The Space Show... which is totally a kids film but it suckered me in completely with likable characters, steady development, a good storyline and really stunning animation. Beats the shit out of Toy Story etc anyway.

I think the thread title got cut off, it should be:
Best Film(s) of the 2012th Solar Orbit Period Since Birth Of Superhero Jesus Christ

if you have nothing intresting to say then you might as well just throw your bags on the truck and drive away

Wild Bill was probably the biggest surprise film of the year for me.

Really enjoyed Skyfall, Avengers and TDKR. Not been a vintage year for films though.

Pretty sure The Artist came out this year in the UK. I'll go for that.

Edit - great shout on Wild Bill, Blakester, wouldn't say it was the best film of the year, but was a whole lot better than I expected. Really enjoyed that.

Into the Abyss - Werner Herzog. Lovvvved it.

    Skyfall and TDKR didn't dissapoint.

Film i think about most, once upon a time in anotalliao.

Don't get chance to see much films, our local cinema is SHIT. Only shows half term fodder, and has two screens the size of... well they pointless. So always playing catch up on blu ray releases.

    Most enjoyed:

    TDKR
    Dredd 3D
    Avengers

    Most disappointed by:

    Spider-Man
We Have To Talk About Kevin
    Prometheus

Edit: What was the one where someone claims to be someone else's long-missing son? That was crap too.

Most enjoyable film was probably either Cabin in the Woods or Avengers.

Most disappointing film was either TDKR because it was shit, or Looper because Brick is probably in my top 5 favourite films ever, and this failed to match my expectations.

    Get bent.
