Fair point. Perhaps some reviewers don't do this very well.

You read a few reviews where the words are positive and it gets a low score, the reverse sometimes happens.

But when all is said and done when a reviewer gives a final score that's their final judgement. And so far it's averaging 80 percent on metacritic, so it seems like most people like it. I can't really say a lot more than that.

The fact is you listen to the opinion you most respect. Mass opinion matters little to me as most people are idiots. Sorry.

Well during the past 2 months I've gone from totally disinterested in this to putting a pre order in today with tesco direct. I've never fancied the Lego games so this didn't appeal but I recently played Lego lotr on my pc and had far more fun with it then I expected to.

Reading other peoples thoughts across other forums and enough decent reviews has made me jump onboard.

Proper gutted this won't be coming to proper consoles/PC. My boy wants it bad, I want to buy it for him, but I'm not buying a WiiU, so we all lose.

As far as the LEGO games are concerned, I find most of them enjoyable, but the only real "classic" among them is Lord of the Rings - that really is brilliant on every level, I feel.

Nice trolling on the "proper consoles" comment.

My order has just shipped. Hope I will get it before the post stops for the holiday weekend. Not optimistic.

Mine arrived from ShopTo this morning and its even better than I was hoping. One massive grin on my face playing. Everything I wanted from lego as a kid in a game so far... a lego world to explore. Load times arnt half as bad as people have been saying.

I have really enjoyed what I've played, more than what I expected to, which is great.

Already annoyed by the ridiculous loading times though.

Got my email for the special edition for 28 from Zavvi this morning. Doubtful I'll get it before next Tuesday though. Looking forward to playing it.

Put a few hours into this now and it's awesome. Looks so good too. Pin sharp and vibrant. Cars control really well and the map is pretty impressive with a nice variety of landscapes and places to see and explore. How edge gave this a 5 is beyond me. Having just come from completing Bioshock I didn't think anything would fulfil me quite as well as this does.

Load times are long but the levels are large and there is plenty to do inbetween so they can be infrequent. It's made me laugh a lot, mostly small chuckles at stupid one liners but some big laughs as well. The humour reminds me of the Lucasarts point and click games.

This game is seriously good, has me hooked straight away. More so than anything on the Wii U yet, in fact.

One thing the Wii U has made me do is love gaming again. Certainly has that Nintendo difference.

The map does seem to be pretty good so far from the little I have seen. Its split up into distinct easy to explore areas each with info on how many collectibles it contains. There are lots of shortcuts, secrets and easy to memorize landmarks. I'm surprised with the number of times I found myself admiring the view from the top of a hill or building.

I played a few hours last night, it's great fun, it takes a while to load but the areas are huge so you don't have to watch the loading screen very often.

It's great spotting the references and there have definitely been a few laughs.

Had a quick blast last night (half an hour) and really enjoyed it. Graphically, its lovely - the City is a brilliant creation. Like others have said, the cars are fun and handle very nicely too - the GamePad integration isnt as annoying or distracting as i thought it would be either.

Definitely got a lot of potential and, so far, is definitely living up to its mooted 'Grand Theft Lego' reputation....

Mse it to second island. Man is this game good. Fast becoming my GOTY which didn't think would happen that quick after Infinite. It's just pure fun, looks gorgeous too. No one can hate on the Wii U if they can get some more exclusives like this.

That is one lucky boy. Epic birthday ahead. It sad times when no one is talking about this game. It's captivated me. Just driving around collect super bricks has kept me entertained all evening. Never thought at 34 I'd be doing that.
