The people who made this work for Nintendo, might be the developers I'm not sure but its an official channel. They had these same type of videos ingame on NSMB Wii.

I found my first really challenging level yesterday; World 6-7 I believe. No idea why I struggled so much but it must have taken 10-15 lives off of me, easily. Poxy bats!

I'm just relieved to get to the flags to be honest; I'm not very good at this sort of game.

I've just occasionally diped into this during the last few months, I was stuck pretty early on (Castle Morton's Compactor Castle). I finally had a good go tonight and finally beat him :D
It may be a bit lady technically but such a riot of colour looks great on a huge HD screen .

No doubt this is a game you can pickup and whack in the console every now and then and have some fun with it, its the pickup and play nature of the mario games that makes them easy to get into.

Update coming for NSMBU ahead of the Luigi DLC.

    From Nintendo Life:
The update will include two features. The first will allow you to buy the New Super Luigi U DLC from within the Mario title's software, without the infrastructure forcing you to the eShop a notable improvement over the purchasing model in other games to date. In addition, the update will add controller support for the Wii U Pro Controller, the absence of which was slightly baffling in the first place; this should be helpful for those that want some multiplayer fun but don't have a lot of Wii Remotes sitting around.

With New Super Luigi U arriving in North America and Europe, in its downloadable form, on 20th June, it won't be long before this update and a whole lot of new platforming goodness arrives; those waiting for the boxed version of Luigi's adventure will need to wait longer, as it hits Europe on 26th July and North America on 25th August. The DLC version is also confirmed to be $10 less that its physical retail equivalent, at $19.99, in the U.S.

I hope it's sensibly priced in Europe.

I'd happily pay 15 to 20 for the DLC; but I do like collecting physical media which I give TLC.

Got this a few days ago and finding it much better than the lacklustre NSMB2. Had a multi-player session last night.....is it just me or is it really not possible to use the Gamepad other than for placing platforms?

Now they're patching stuff in, maybe they can also add challenge times and\or videos from friends + current world best, just to appreciate how inadequate the rest of us are.

Wonder how much the AU version of Luigi will be, ive seen the boxed version for preorder for $59AU, if the digitial is under $40 then ill take it.

Pretty sure gamepad for creating pads only in multiplayer, its awesome playing single player on it though.

Can use the gamepad in single player but in multi it's only for boost mode.

Is it just me being utterly crap, or is this quite a difficult game? I just keep dying over and over and over. I'm loving it...but it is getting a little bit frustrating as well.

I'm not 100% sold on it. I'll let someone else buy it first to see if it feels fresh enough to justify that price. I know it'll replace every level with a new one, and they're all much harder, so it is a lot of content that's probably worth the money. But I suck! I don't fancy a harder version.

Also, I haven't bought NSMB for Wii U yet so should probably buy that first instead of the Luigi standalone :p

Is tha tthe E-Shop price? Ouch! Was hoping for a 9.99 expansion pack. Not as insta-buy as I'd hoped at that price.

Yeah, it's pretty much an entire new game more akin to Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels, where it uses some of the same assets to create new, harder levels, as well as Luigi handling differently. Still a tad on the steep side though.

It does look like it will be more difficult, here is some footage from E3 of someone playing the third and fourth levels

i think its a pretty decent price. Perhaps 14.99 is fairer, but the amount of new content is good. At least its a dlc pack akin to red dead redemptions or gtas efforts rather than the poxy offerings some games offer.

I have a lot of questions to ask before I will say if 17.99 is too expensive. I would be fairly happy with that if the whole game is different and its just the world map that is the same. If its too similar and for example all the bosses are the same then I will be disappointed.
Hopefully some reviews will pop up soon to clear that up.
