Yup, this and ZombiU, thats all i've got so far.

Love the fact that you can transfer the game to the GamePad and toddle off, definitely going to get a lot of use out of that.

Really good launch game, very happy with it so far. Looking forward to trying it in MP too!

Sorry Ultrasoundwave going to have to post the picture to you too seeing as you have a new Wii U and Far Cry 3...

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

I admit it, i deserve frustrated Jackie Chan.

Wii U was an early xmas gift off the mrs (which i have openend early) and Far Cry 3 was bought with my own, hard earned money*.

*Hard earned may be a false statement in this sentence

@Ultrasoundwave Fair enough. I'm just jealous because I am unloved and desperately trying to resist Far Cry 3 because I know I shouldn't drop 35 on a game when I have so many unplayed.

Anyway, Mario. Hope it's better than NSMB2.

Mate, seriously, i have Assassins Creed III, Hitman, NFS, Forza Horizon, Halo 4 and Black Ops II still to play....then i added Far Cry 3 AND the Wii U into the mix.

Played it today with a friend and it was awesome. Brilliant. It looks great in HD but of course the really great thing is the local multiplayer. For 2 people it works like a charm.

First we played both normal as Mario and Luigi and later one of us played with the tablet while the other used the classic wii remote.
You can choose to either help the other guy but you can also become an evil game master and block Mario from reaching plateaus and such.

Haven't played the New Super Mario Wii, so I can't compare it but it looked very nice on a Full-HD TV and multiplayer was genius.
If you have a chance to play with cool friends from time to time than it's probably the best game experience this x-mas season.

Singleplayer should be nice too but the strong point is clearly local multiplayer with friends.

This game was made for off the tv play.
Closest nostalgia feeling for me is not of World, but of Land on the original GB

Can't stop playing. I'm shit but it looks amazing. The ability to carry on playing whilst the missus watches TV is worth every penny I paid.

    Just. One. More. Go.

I'm nearing the end now. Each world has seemed to have got better and better (excluding 1 or 2 frustrating levels) and I love the inclusion of challenges and boost mode. A few times i've decided to stop playing and quick saved back to the main menu only to be lured in to trying some more challenges.

Definately the best "New Super Mario" there's been!

Depends on the type of wall I think. Mine works fine in my bedroom which is behind a wall but starts to lose it in a tight corridor. Maybe someones done a proper test on it but I think the general feeling is its range is better then expected.

Isn't that the jungle and mountain ones? They lead on from either 3 (water) or 4 (ice). No idea how you could have missed them though.

I really, really hate the Boo levels. Between the Boos and all the multiple doors, they're just a dull, repetitive, frustrating trudge.

Other than that this game's brilliant, and the best of the NSMB series by a country mile. I honestly couldn't tell you what's really that different either other than the HD, it just seems so much more fresh this time around.

It's good, a mix of challenge, fun and frustration, but this is my first 2D mario since Super Mario World and it aint as good as that by a fair distance, but that was something special.
