New BBC series. Can't wait, especially for the inevitable Blu-ray release. Looks brilliant.

Registered 4 years agoIt was wonderful. I found the crickets really creepy though. Love the sleep-feigning rhino. We've all been there.Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

Registered 9 years agoThat Giraffe fight was insane. The old fella hit the new guy in the stomach and he FELL UNCONSCIOUS. Brutal.

Registered 2 years agoLots of good moments. The giraffe fight and crafty bird spring to mind.
Just knew there would be a spider pop up somewhere though. Think those armoured crickets were actually worse though.
Looks like it was filmed with half a mind to it being shown in 3D I thought. -

Pretty sure it's also in HD on iPlayer.
Thought it was fantastic. No-one does docs like the BBC and Attenborough.
Loved the cricket bit. Sweet cricket justice!
Makes me sad to think that there won't be many more of these programs; he's 86 (still going strong mind!).You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

Yeah, Attenborough could tell me that the sky was pink and I'd believe him. Great, great man. It's going to be a sad day when he stops making nature programs. I've grown up with him as the voice of my Natural World programs and i can't think of anyone else i'd rather listen to.

Apparently he's planning to film a new series in china this year. So we can look forward to at least one more series. I just worry it'll be on sky and in 3d though. Something wrong about any of his programmes being on skyScurrminator wrote:

Registered 7 years agoAbsolutely stunning. Just caught up this afternoon. The vibrant colours and landscapes are fantastic in HD.
I was thinking though, spaces for these animals are dimishing every day, won't be long before there isn't that much space for them to exist. Think African countries are doing alot to try and protect it though.

Registered 4 years agoI had two thoughts when they went into that big underground lake:
1) That is absolute 100% prime Ancient Evil Awakens To Doom Mankind territory
2) I'd absolutely love to go there and drop like, a Viking helmet somewhere discoverable. Just to fuck with the archeologists. -
