£50 for some of those games, at least Nintendo have managed to match their competitors in one area :\

Trine 2 is cheaper? Nice! I was getting that anyway. That and Nano Assault Neo.

Didn't they confirm a Rayman Legends demo? Not that it would have made any sense, it's not coming out this year...

As with the 3DS, I wont be downloading any digital versions of retail games. Massively over priced. I'll stick with the slightly more reasonable prices for download exclusives. Looking forward to Little Inferno!

ZombiU is on the shop, for a super soaraway £55.

A map is like comparing velocity and speed.

Wow pretty unsurprising how the retail games are so ridiculously priced, unsurprising but still disappointing. At least I won't be needing an external hard drive anytime soon.

Frozenbyte said they set their own price for Trine 2 and they can put it on sale when they want. I'm not sure how pricing works for the games available in stores though.

Installing to an SSD should be really quick, yeah?

Nintendo really need to sort out their firmware on this thing.

@ResidentKnievel It should fly. But it was horrendous. I actually dl'd the FIFA demo after but kept refusing to install because I didn't want to waste 20 minutes.

The Fifa demo took me around 5 minutes to install, but the estimate was confusing. It started at 17, which I thought meant seconds. Then it dropped to 10, rose to 15, dropped to 11, rose to 14, dropped to 5 and then stayed there until the very last minute. :/

Anyways, the Fifa demo isn't all that great. It plays like the old games, but the touch screen features aren't all that great. There's a nice 3D view before kick-off, in which you can rotate the camera around and see the whole stadium, which is fun for 30 seconds. The rest of the information doesn't really mean much to me, but i'm not the most hardcore footy fan.

The install times are ridiculous! I thought they must be seconds at first too but realised after they randomised for about 5 mins that this was not the case!

I don't think £50 is too much for a game like Nintendoland. I'll easily get more than 50 hours out of it so thats less than £1 per hour. And being on the HDD means that the kids can play it as much as they like without battering and scratching the disc over time.

Really like the layout if the shop a well, was expecting SNES and N64 gases as well like on the Wii so was a bit shocked.

Are Nintendo planning on putting retro stuff up again?

    @Kangoo

I hope so, and I'm desperate for them to enable wii games to be played remotely on the gamepad. That really would be a treat! :)

However, seems like a pipe dream, but i'll take N64 and snes games, which sounds possible (Source IGN)

"For months, many gamers have wondered if their Wii games, and transferred Virtual Console and WiiWare software, could be played entirely on Wii U's GamePad, much like New Super Mario Bros. U. Today Nintendo has provided that answer, definitively stating its new controller will not offer that functionality.

Any Wii software - digital or disc-based - must be played on a TV within Wii U's Wii Mode, which is enabled through the system's Day One update. This mode will only operate as Wii did, with that system's controllers and accessories, and nothing else.

Though providing no further details, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata did mention his company plans to create a Wii U Virtual Console that will feature full GamePad functionality."

    @markyHD

Thanks for the info, it would make sense to put it up sooner rather than later as the release schedule looks a bit empty for next few months.

Zen Pinball 2 comes out today in the UK. I think the way it works is you get to try each table for a limited time for free but you have to pay to fully play them.

    Here are the prices:
Zen Classic Pack featuring Tesla, El Dorado, V12 and Shaman (€9.99 | £7.99)
Marvel Pinball featuring Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Iron Man (€9.99 | £7.99)
Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles featuring Marvel’s The Avengers, Infinity Gauntlet, World War Hulk, and Fear Itself (€9.99 | £7.99)
Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue featuring X-Men, Thor, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight (€9.99 | £7.99)
    Excalibur (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Earth Defense (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Sorcerer's Lair (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Paranormal (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Mars (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Epic Quest (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Plants vs. Zombies (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Fantastic Four (€2.99 | £2.39)
    Captain America (€2.99 | £2.39)

Hopefully it will have online leaderboards and all that stuff.

This is the release schedule of the 30p VC games.
Balloon Fight (NES) Jan. 23-Feb. 21
    F-Zero (SNES) Feb. 20-March 21
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream (NES) March 20-April 18
    Kirby's Adventure (NES) April 17-May 16
Super Metroid (SNES) May 15-June 13
    Mario + Yoshi (NES) June 12-July 11
Donkey Kong (NES) July 15-Aug. 13

When Super Metroid comes around everyone with a WiiU must buy it, one of my top 5 games of all time.

Zen Pinball on the 3DS surprised me. I got it because there wasn't much going on the eShop at the time and clocked in 60 hours of gameplay in the end. Pinball has never really been my thing, but when you're chasing high scores it can become quite addictive.

Still deciding whether or not I need the sequel.

Plants v Zombies table is well worth buying. I have the top score in my country so far...although there are few players so far. I can see that it's going to be a real time sink.
