Molasses can be tricky to get hold of. Dark treacle is a close substitute and is far cheaper and widely available.3DS: 4055-2781-2855

Registered 8 years agoPork, tinned toms, smoked paprika, onion, seasoning, water. Cook in a low oven in a close fitting lidded casserole dish until you can't wait any longer. Pull apart with a fork and chuck it in a Po' Boy. -

Though in terms of doing pulled pork, the slow cooking is a rather fundamentally essential process. Nothing stopping you smoking then slow cooking in liquid after though, and It's something used a lot in the various BBQ cookbooks I have as well as a lot of the BBQ-focused/ general american cooking shows like Drive-Ins, Diners and Dives, Heat Seekers, etc.
