    @CrispyXUK very possibly. If microsoft go all out and take a hit on the new Xbox Sony won't be able to afford to compete.

    Wish it wasn't but I just hope it's hacked soon do I can get some long term functionality out of it.

    It's done I'm afraid. I owned one for a few weeks and while the hardware was great the software was years behind. Plus it's a hard sell for anyone to spend > £30 for a handheld game.

    If they were really throwing weight behind it they would have given Activision a massive money hat a year ago.

    Edit: and I say that as someone completely uninterested in cod games but recognising their pulling power.

    @ico What's the point of being the best in a dead sector.

    If 3DS is outselling it 40odd to 1 some weeks its clear what the public think is best

    @RobTheBuilder well the guardian is certainly renowned for its insight into videogames. I remember Angry Birds getting 5 out of 5 stars.

    Hardware wise; no.

    Software wise 3ds definitely edges it and will out strip it by orders of magnitude in the next year.

    I say this as someone who owns both and literally never uses my 3ds. Wish it were a different story but it's not.

    The dev units are AMD A10's, which is a £80 PC part, whilst a fantastic budget PC APU, not really cutting edge. I am also doubting if Sony will survive long enough to actually get the PS4 to market. The Vita is toast.

    If I didn't already own everything (worth having) in the offering I'd be tempted. Not including wipe out in the European plus is a disgrace imo.

    Far is seriously stretching it. Nintendo had to dig themselves out of quick sand with the 3ds, which in fairness they did.
